We booked the Parisienne for 3 nights over the weekend, we travel alot at home and abroad and thought this hotel would be fine. Well it was the worst hotel i've ever stayed in
The floor boards creaked every where we stepped, the lift was a joke and the same size as a telephone kiosk. A tv with 2 channels, The hotel had a damp musky smell and the room was the same. the bedding looked old and shabby to match the room, infact the bedding looked like it had been around a race track and now old and tired to match the curtains. Infact the whole hotel looked old, tired and shabby. We went to the hotel to chill out and rest as we travel and usually work 7 days a week, so when we went down to the restaurant 5 minutes late they would not serve us the breakfast we paid for and were very rude about it...we wound up having to go down town for breakfast which was like paying twice. We both found the staff lazy and disinterested with an unfriendly and arrogant attitude at the reception and the restaurant staff very unhelpful indeed. on our second morning we went for breakfast about 9.30 am and when we went into the restaurant there was about 40 tables vacant and only 2 of thos 40 tables had people seating having breakfast, so we asked could we sit at the window to get a sea view...they said "no" and stuck us almost on top of another couple where our tables were touching each other and no sea view. They take cash upfront and we ate all our dinners in the sister hotel " Tiffany's" throughout our stay, what a carry on to get a meal in tiffany;s ...we had to walk back to our hotel and pay cash their when we booked for the meal . Yes people say that they have good cheap rates but if thats what we have to put up with for their cheap rates then i would rather do with out as i consider it not a value but a disappointing let down....never again!!!!

I read the other reviews on here describing the hotel after I'd booked it and was panicing wondering what I had let myself in for. I found the hotel to be no where near as bad as described. The room we had was adequate for our needs, the shower room was small, but enough. The staff were all very polite if in a bit of a fluster because there are quite a lot of renovations going on at the moment. The breakfast was very nice, and was served to us very quickly by friendly staff. We booked only bed and breakfast but evening meal is available if requested. All in all I would visit here again and my mum, who was with me, has booked again for next year already.

stayed 3 nights and was the worst place i have ever stayed, about 6 parking spaces which were all taken so had to pay for parking elsewhere, lift was so small we had to walk 4 flights of stairs with our bags so you definantly struggle getting a wheelchair in, got to our room and opened the door to find a brick wall, had to struggle to squeeze past the door and wall, the room was very small and the shower and toilet even smaller.
when arriving in the restuarant for breakfast the waiters looked at us as if we shouldnt be there, the full english fry up consisted of 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon with a slimy egg and cold beans along with some cold toast.
the manager was a miserable and rude person.
when we first arrived the games room wasnt even open due to new carpets being fitted but the next day when they had finished they couldnt be bothered to put the pool table back for people to use. The ironing board was all ripped and was bent and not much use. After leaving the hotel and arriving home we realised that we had left something behind in the bedside cabinet in our room, we phoned to ask to see if the cleaners and put it at reception for us and surprise surprise they hadnt found anything and i definantly left it there,so either the cleaners had binned it or taken it for themselves which was very annoying, i will definatly be using another hotel next time, the only good thing i could say is that the receptionist was polite and friendly.
Overall it was the worst hotel i have stayed in and the only thing that could be done to get this hotel upto some decent standard is to replace the manager and get someone in who knows how to run a business like this.

we have stayed there twice and are going again in feburary it could do with some updating, but it is excellent value for money. We stay sunday to friday and pay 103.50 for 2 people bed breakfast and evening meal, thats 10.35 per night. The staff are helpful and polite, all in all a good holiday.
