was bought this for an anniversary celebration We went on Friday 21st March for 2 nights . There was nowhere to park and we was told to drive round the back which was full and was then told to park in front of their sister hotel which we did . We were given room 303 which was freezing .We dropped our bags and went for something to eat hoping the room would have warmed up by the time we got back .It hadnt . We went to bed and was cold all night . We complained after breakfast and was given a heater and an extra blanket , The heater warmed up the room nicely but on Saturday night it was windy and the wind howled and whistled through the window all night . We put toilet paper round the push out window at the top and it was still making a racket ,my husband opened the push out window and it was still making the same racket anyway we complained again next morning to no avail .I have wrote and complained and got a reply which said if i was to book again they would upgrade the room and give us a bottle of champagne , When we arrived on Friday it cost me another £30 .£5 per night for a sea view and £10 per night for the weekend .So i wont be rebooking but still waiting for a second reply i think it has cost me enough . Also receptionist was smirking when we mentioned toilet paper ,

Room Tip: Do not pick room 303

Dear Madam,

I am sorry you complained about your room.
We have the heatring on every day, your radiator must have been turned off at the dial. We can not do anything about complaints if we don't know about them straight away. You were on a groupon deal paying £49 for 2 people for 2 nighte bed and breakfast which is a very good deal. The extra £30 was for a sea view and a £10 weekend supplement.
I wish you would have asked for the Manager as I would have sorted your problems out immediately instead of putting negative reviews on here without giving me an opportunity to rectify any problems.
If you do come to stay with us again, them please ask for me personally and I will supervise your stay for you.

Kind regards,

Howard.G.Crump General Manager

As usual we checked the reviews on this hotel and were wary of what to expect. We arrived on a Friday for our weekend away and found our room to be light, large and roomy and very clean. Toilet was small but adequate. The breakfast was lovely and you could chose anything you wanted. All the staff were great and could not do enough to help especially our favourite receptionist - Luke - he is a star. He cheers everyone up and make the holiday that wee bit special.
All in all we will go back to this hotel as we felt it was great value for money and the staff are brilliant. Great location being in walking distance to the town centre and the bus and tram stop is outside the door, on the other side of the road.

Room Tip: We were at the back of the hotel and it was quiet. Close enough to the centre to walk but no noise f...

We booked through a wowcher deal £49 great for 2 of us for 2 nights breakfast included although we had to pay an additional £10 due to it being a weekend (found out afterwards we were the only ones to pay this) , arrived at 10.45 as we were told over phone we could check in from 11 , the outside of the building wasn't to bad very dated but inside was very poor , didn't look clean old furniture bad carpet etc ', we were met by a receptionist who then told us check in was from 4 ! After being told that our room was ready then not ready about 3 times , it was ready room 603. we took our luggage through the "dining room" and up 2 flights of stairs , there was a lift which would take you one flight if you dared to risk it ' we didn't ' to the smallest box room ever , decor very old and dated . The only way we could navigate around the room was to side step ' and to open the wardrobe we had to lay on the bed as there was no room to open the door and stand in front of it same thing in the bathroom no room to dry yourself in the bathroom after a shower as it was so small and narrow . We did put up with it because it was only a base to sleep , apparently not all rooms were like ours , but we won't be returning it wasn't clean it was very noisy , breakfast ok but again cutlery and plates dirty . The hotel does say it is trip advisor recommended but unfortunately not by me .

after buying a deal on Wowcher for £49 was looking forward to a weekend away. On arrival at the parisienne we noticed there were no parking spaces left for us. The receptionist was very helpful, telling us where the cheapest place to park was (£14) for 2 nights. Although it was a bit of a trek. The hotel smelt fusty and could have donewith a bit of a spruce up.our room was small but ok.bathroom tiny and the sink was unsightly in the bedroom. Overall first night sleep was good! Second night ended up being awake from around 1am due to inconsiderate neighbours banging doors every 2 minutes and talking loud. Got up at 6 due to not being able to take much more. We had breakfast which was nice then left. Eager to get home for a decent cup of coffee! Would consider staying here again as its cheap enough, staff were helpful. You get what you pay for x

The hotel is extremely poor - carpet in main areas are miss matched and thread-bare, I will say it was the worse hotel stay I have ever had in 48 years. My room was awful, Room 604 - both night I could not sleep do to the bitter coldness that blew in through the window. There was a cracked window which was unsafe and the upper part of the window had duck tape all the way round I have pictures to prove it. The shower room was so small if you brushed your teeth you could easily bash your face on the glass shelf. When you showered water poured out onto the floor because the curtain was weak and inadequate. The breakfast was brought out without a request to ask for what you wanted. Also there was no buffet so I could help myself. I wasn't asked how was my stay because they probably scared of my reply. The wifi did not work and they advised us to go to Tiffany's the sister hotel.

Room Tip: No tips to add.
