We visited in April and enjoyed it but there were thing's that needed doing and a few things changing, we took our Grandchildren this time, it was fairly busy, as a nice day, so congestion happened, they enjoyed the quiz, though yet again we did not get the car sticker for doing it. There is repair work happening and some areas need a revamp but after telling some visitors off for going on them did not help, some people have no respect for what they are seeing and causing damage is not on. The little shop was very busy, as was the refreshment area, all in all though it was worth going around, if you take advantage of the Blackpool Resort Pass, this is in there cost wise and can save you money, there is a 3 day pass and 7 day pass, also a combined bus/tram pass, worth it if you are there for a week.

Having visited as a child going back shattered all those memories. Very overpriced and rather cheeky to charge for parking, Gift shop rather poor also. However children may just like it but would be dissapointed if going to see the new advertised Thomas as thats simply a mororised train going round a square track... no real effort put in to create something special. A plus is the gardens which are beautiful but then if its beautiful gardens you want to see go to Stanley Park and see those for free.

Admittedly, the model village is looking a little tired in places & the entrance price is not necessarily indicative of that. However, it's worth a look for an hour before/after a day at the nearby zoo or Stanley Park. The quiz they provide you with at the start helps to guide you around the village & is also very engaging. I don't think you could realistically spend more than an hour at the park & it would be very difficult to keep young children amused here. Also, the parking charges are a bit cheeky so I'd advise parking further along down the road on East Park Drive (next to Stanley Park back entrance). There are no yellow lines or parking restrictions & we used it to park for the zoo & Stanley Park as well. Some of the models looks a tad neglected but bare in mind the country is recovering from a double dip recession so funds are scarce!

Last time i visited here was 20 years ago so i decided to visit again to see what it was like ,the admission price is expensive for what it is , whilst the gardens looked kept the model village looks run down and could do with a serious revamp and paint job . It is what it is but if you got kids i think the zoo would be better entertainment and better value.

We went here as they advertised a new model railway with Thomas the tank engine. It turned out to be a small circular track with very little around it.

The rest of the model village is nice enough but no where near value for money. Even going around slowly this takes no more than 40 minutes. I expect more for twenty quid (2 adults, 1 child)

Would not go back for repeat business.
