I booked the grosvenor hotel online for a party of 8 of us, it looked really nice and for £30 b+b was great. On arrival there when We were walking down the road it stood out a mile amongst the other hotels. The hotel was run down and shabby, the paint work (what was left of it) was all flaking off, the windows and curtains were in need of a wash. Then on walking inside the reception there was an awful foisty smell and the carpets were rotten (probably to keep ya there), then i was told if we wanted breakfast it would cost an extra £5 to which i argued that i had already booked bed and breakfast. We decided we werent staying and quickly left. We lost our £80 deposit but we werent prepaired to sleep in that place. When asking around the other hotels for rooms they informed us that they often get people looking for rooms after booking into the Grosvenor hotel. I personaly wouldnt let my dog sleep there if i had one.

On arrival the hotel looked run down. There was a nasty smell on entering the reception area, also it was booked as bed and breakfast but when we went to check in we were told breakfast was not included and would be an extra £5.00 if we required it.

It was that bad we refused to stay and went to find alternative accomodation. On doing this we were told by a number of establisments they got a lot of people asking about a room after originally booking into The Grovsnor.

Room Tip: Book a room in a differant hotel/bed and breakfast

Its a great place to send the Mother in-law
But for everybody else don't go you will regret it.
Its dirty, exspensive and grotty. The only thing good about it is the fact you will have something to laugh about in years to come whenever you see the Blackpool tower.
i stayed 22nd Sept 2012
