Came back to Blackpool for a nostalgic visit (having been here last in 1962 or 63 and having no real memory of it - although I have a photo of myself with my brother and parents on the Tower). Found the Colwyn on the Internet, read the reviews and thought it would provide a high quality authentic Blackpool experience. It lived up to expectations. Clean, warm, friendly, comfortable and great food.

Another great Christmas at the Colwyn Hotel. THANKS!
The food is always excellent you certainly don't go hungry. The entertainment as always was good and the games (especially the crazy golf) kept us busy.
This hotel is great value for money and nothing is too much trouble that is why people go back time and time again.
Thank you to the friends we met again and the new friends we have made.
A big thank you to Charles, Sheila and all the staff.
Hope to see you again soon!

My first stay at the Colwyn, wont be my last. The best hotel I have stayed in in Blackpool Extremely clean everywhere. Nice quality bed covers and towels One of the best hotel beds I have slept on. Good quality well cooked food served by loverly staff only too pleased to go that exra bit to make your stay special. Charles and the others made Christmas special with the effort they put in only down side was the bathroom was a little small but how much time do you spend in there compered to everything else this hotel gave you.

My original booking was at the Headlands just up the road but they were shut for renovations and transferred me to their sister hotel the Colwyn. The telly didn't work in our first room but we were transferred with no problem to another room. We were on the 3rd floor but there is a lift. The room was a little tired looking I felt but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was poor I'm afraid, nice hot water but no pressure. All the staff were great and couldn't have been more helpful. The owner gave me a lift to the local Halfords when our car had a flat tyre! The hotel is right on the front by the amusement park and the trams go right past the door. There's plenty of parking too. We had drinks in the comfy bar in the evening and were recommended a good Indian restaurant for our evening meal. Breakfast was excellent with choices of juice, cereals, fruit and the usual cooked. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Colwyn and thanks very much to everyone there for making our stay so pleasant.

Each year our family makes the annual October break pilgrimage to Blackpool, for the Illuminations show and all the fun of Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Occasionally with children at separate schools we can't book early enough to secure a room at the Colwyn and have tried a few other hotels.
The Colwyn remains our first choice. positioned right on the front of the prom you are really at the seaside. The sight, sound and smell of the fresh sea air right on the door step while inside is a warm, welcoming, family friendly hotel.
Ideal for any family the Colwyn Hotel is only a very short walk from the Pleasure Beach and almost at the start of the Illuminations, with a Tram and Bus stop virtually directly across the road.
Our rooms have always been well serviced, finding them clean, tidy, comfortable and warm, a nice retreat when that October wind decides to blow.
The Colwyn has a lift that serves all floors, a nice little bar down stairs and a dinning room that looks out to the sea and the Prom. My kids especially enjoy the cooked, English breakfast offerd at The Colwyn, but thats kids for you, food first! Never had a bad visit yet and we always feel welcome.
