“will not return”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

hotel very tired, in need of decoration and upgrading. Shower had black mould and the grouting was dirty, the carpet had iron burns on it cover with two grey cotton rugs which rucked up when ever they were walked on. The dining room smelt musty despite all the air fresheners. Staff were lovely.

Sorry you wont be returning to the hotel. You didnt comment about your stay to me, you seem to enjoy the bar and the wine before going out for a meal on both nights. The shower being black and tiles being dirty. I could of come up and had a look and cleaned if i felt it needed it. The shower has since be looked at and the sealant just was needing bleaching which is done on a regular basis. Then it would be redone in the winter. The shower wasnt dirty, infact you hadnt even used it. I do all the cleaning myself as i know then the hotel is clean to my standards and i wouldnt want people or myself to stay in a dirty place.
As for the rugs hidding the carpet burns.....well this is true as the turn over of the hotel at this time of the year is quick so replacing the carpet is on the winter list of to do's! Yep someone ironed on the carpet, when there is a ironing board and iron free to use by the bar. Im sure the room would of looked worse if i didnt hide the burns from view and that really isnt nice.
The dining room is in the basment of the hotel which is below ground level. I have never been told that it smells downstairs. As for air fresheners in the dining room there isnt one as i think people eating breakfast wouldn’t like to blasted with a sented spray while eating.
The hotel is a basic and cheap place to stay so i wouldnt be forking out on lots of fancy wall paper. The hotel is a clean basic colour and tidy, with all the basic needs that people need for their stay.
I think for what you wanted would be the Hilton but you probably wouldnt want to pay hilton prices.

Myself and my 3 children stayed monday to Friday and found the hotel lovely and clean. Suzanne was very welcoming and helpful. It's location was excellent being just 10 minutes walk from the tower and shops. Just round the corner from the Foxhall pub who do family meals. Breakfasts were delicious at Leatham Park and set us up for the day. Very reasonably priced. We will definitely be staying again. Will take a lot to beat

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting friends in Blackpool.Clean room & bedding, friendly landlady, hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.Nice little bar on site for a night cap.
Ideally situated just one street back from the promanade, making it ideal for beaches, the tower and all the main attractions.

From the moment we arrived on the doorstep the greeting was warm and friendly and that friendliness carried throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble even breakfast on the go when we had to get to the winter gardens for a competition..!!..The room was clean and tidy and very adequate for our needs, the breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked to order.I would have no hesitation in booking again for another stay with my children who were very comfortable there and the location is excellent too!!!!...

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome at the lovely homely Leatham Park Hotel . Me , my wife and our three daughters (14,11,10 & 7) booked a last minute mini-break (2 nights) to visit the famous Tower and Golden Mile . The family big family room was a good size and suited our needs perfectly , it was clean and tidy with 2 showers which came in handy ! The bar-lounge was very cosy and well stocked with beverages for adults with pop and a sweet selection for the kids . The dining room was also very cosy and the full english breakfast excellent along with the cereals, fresh juice and toast etc.. All in all a really enjoyable stay and we,ll be booking again in the future for sure .
