Premier Inn Blackpool Airport Hotel

After enjoying the experience of staying at a Premier Inn previously we thought it would be the perfect place to stay overnight to break up our journey from Scotland to Hampshire. Although the room was very clean it was extremely warm even with the window open, and the noise of the fan meant that we could not keep it on all night.

What we hadn't accounted for was the level of noise coming from the airport beginning at around 5.10 am this morning with the arrival of a large refuse collection lorry. Then there was a constant stream of noise - either traffic or voices for the next two hours so that was my sleep ended abruptly! Very disappointing. We thought these rooms were soundproofed?

Breakfast at the Air Balloon was adequate but the bacon was very hard as if it had been sat around for a long time - maybe because we didn't eat until after 9 am, but surely the supplies are replenished regularly. Plus we didn't get the tomatoes we ordered, but we were too tired to complain at this point and just wanted to get home. What a shame! :(

Room Tip: Don't have a room at the back of the hotel due to the airport traffic!

Stayed at this hotel for a two night break, August Bank Holiday (Sunday & Monday) for a bargain price of £25.00 per room per night. The room was spotless, lovely comfy bed, nice decor, and had flat screen TV, kettle etc and also shampoo and haidryer. Staff very polite. For the price it was really good value. There was also free car parking. Didnt eat at the next door facilities as we like to go out. It is well positioned for Blackpool and St Annes. You could hear children playing at the next door pub play area and you could hear people walking down corridors and children making noises inside the hotel but it didnt really disturb you; I think it is just worth mentioning so you are aware. We were at the front of the hotel and our friends were at the back of the hotel. They could hear some noise from the airport but they said it was nothing too bad and was infrequent. It was hot during our stay and fans were provided. Our room was sheltered and didnt get the sun as much as the back rooms so thats worth noting. I would stay here again for a short break.

Room Tip: I can only say that the room we stayed in opposite the car park seemed cooler than those opposite th...

Stayed here last night, hotel its self was a bargain at £25 (booked it months ago) and wasn't bad apart from the road noise. So hot we needed to keep the window open all night so no escape from the road noise, wasn't too bad apart from some crazy idiots with really loud cars bombing around well after midnight. Other issue was noise was from people leaving their rooms and making a noise in the corridor, could clearly hear one guy leave his room just before 6am walk along the corridor down the stairs (even though they were miles away) get in his van start the engine and leave it running for about 5 minuets, nice.

Hotel was clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. Lots of free parking (rare in Blackpool) bus stop just down the road although its cheaper to park in the centre than 3 people get the bus (crazy but true).

If you get the chance get a room on the airport side (not very often you hear someone say that)

Room Tip: airport side all the way!

I have stayed here before when visiting family who live close by. Just a short walk from the airport and close to the pleasure beach and bus routes. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very spacious. The beds and pillows are first class and I always have a great sleep. Bathrooms are big and have shower and hand soaps. Tea/coffee making facilities too. The Pub next door the Airballoon has a good choice of food and at a great price too. We always eat here at least once as the staff are very welcoming and the service is good. But it does get very busy with locals and at certian times you will have to wait for your food. I invited the family to join me for breakfast on my last morning and unfortunately this was not as good as Dinner. Plenty of choice and the food is good. But the self service table is not maintain by the staff as good as it should be. I had to ask serveral times for things. Cups, Glasses, Tea bags etc. Also the main hot breakfact was served before we finishes our starters. But over all the staff are good and it is good value for money. Would go back again for sure.

Room Tip: I have stayed on the ground floor and first floor. Both very quite however no lift. So bear that in...

Stayed here while visiting Blackpool, it isn't too far from the pleasure beach but we opted to drive and park nearby for £7.50. Lovely room, staff were lovely and the entire hotel was spotlessly clean. The one thing that put a damper on the whole stay was the pub next door, it's a shame that premier inn are associated with this ghastly place. I wouldn't waste your money on breakfast I would find a cafe nearby. The premier inn's I have stayed in before usually have the help yourself costa machine, an eye catching buffet all served in a clean environment, you will certainly not find this at the air ballon.

I stayed here for 1 night with husband & 2 kids. We had a family room on ground floor which was quiet, extremely clean, good sized and had everything you'd need for a short stay! We went for the Blackpool air show and got this hotel at £45 with breakfast! The room had a bath with shower over, kettle with tea, coffee, t.v (which our usb stick worked in) comfy bed plus 2 beds for our boys, bath/shower/hair soap & hand soap, no air-con but a fan. Even with the 3 beds there was still plenty of room. Our check-in was nice & simple (we checked in after 2pm) we was given a parking permit to put on car, but they were fine with us arriving at the car park 11.30am and leaving well after check out. Breakfast was lovely from the restaurant next door! We ate around 8.30am. We could help ourselves to all the cold things and gave our order for the full english which we was reminded twice its unlimited and could order more if we wanted. Lovely food!! We had our evening meal there too. The staff were very polite and helpful. Overall great stay, great breakfast, great price!
