We booked this trip through sunrise coach holidays as it was a very good deal for the five days only £99 pp. We were welcomed to the Melville Hotel before we embarked the coach, we were soon heading to our room and was plesently surprised at the size and cleanliness. The staff throughout our stay were always polite and helpful especialy when i became ill. The food is what id call standard for that type of hotel. We only got into the cabaret room on the first night and would have enjoyed it each night but it wasnt to be after me becoming ill. We did ask to change rooms as it was right over the cabaret room and very noisy untill 11pm each night, so if you have young children it might be wise to say no to room number 27. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back again if the oportunity arrises, special mention for Shaun and Darren who kept us amused throughout our stay.

Hi myself and a friend came and stayed here from the 18th feb for 5 days with a coach trip.A warm welcome by all staff when we got there and all bags taken to our rooms. On the first night i couldnt sleep due to leaking roof but next day for small charge i changed rooms which was handled well by staff and sunrise.all rooms are spotless and warm and rooms cleaned everyday.
Meal times the service was 5 star. All staff friendly and very quick service and nothing to much trouble for you.All meals are home cooked and hot.
The entertainment was ok the lady who was singing was lovely and we had bingo and quizzes every night. The bar prices for a hotel was not to bad either!
All in all there is not anything bad i can say about this hotel. It is clean, warm, friendly and in a great location and the staff and managers work so hard and we will be back...Thank you to all at the melville for a great hoilday!

Room Tip: choose rooms top floor.

was advised by friends to stay here, was happy with rooms, cleanliness, and atmosphere good. regretable food was good but workers in dining area very poor i was suprised not to have one girls nails in my meal they were that long.... very disappointing, was upsetting to here such foul language coming from one waiteress off putting and disgraceful to say the least, as well the short "gentleman" on reception being the most ignorant and unhelpful member of staff to ever come across, i travel the world for many occassions and this man was simply rude, unfortunately this may deter for me to stay in future

A weekend away in Blackpool I can highly recommend this hotel. Lovely greeting on reception , with a smile and efficiency. Rooms were spotless with nice fluffy towels, good t.v.s and hospitality tray with decent tea and coffee!
Dining staff very helpful , nothing too much trouble and a hot tasty home cooked meal with good choices.
Nice Caberet bar with excellent bar man , very chatty and helpful . Good choice of drinks and offers. We even had sandwiches made to order freshly made and not overcharged.
Anything we needed we got without any trouble, will, definitely be visiting again
Thank you to all the staff very much appreciated.

it is with regret that i make these comments, myself and my fiance booked this hotel for a 2 day break, as we were seeing a concert in blackpool, we booked in to the hotel, are invoice for the deposit we paid stated we was in room 39, however we were given keys to room 37. we questioned it, but didnt get an explanation to it. we got to the room, and i have to say it could have done with a good decorating, the en suite if thats wot u call it, you couldnt swing a cat in it. the breakfast was a total disgrace, streaky bacon, for a £60 per nite bed and breakfast, no bowls avaliable for cereal, took a while to be aknowledged to be honest, dont know if it was cos we are a young couple, and they thought we didnt have standards, but we do!!!! im sorry if it sounds like we are moaning minnies, but its the principle, The only good thing was we met a porter called kevin, really decent guy, plus a nice guy stuart too, the hotel is situated in a good place, the hotel was clean as it could be, but could do with a fresh look defintly in room 37. but unfortunatly somethings let the hotel down, like i said, dec of the room, breakfast just wasnt up to scratch, the pictures on the hotel sight look nice, but not is all as it seems wen u get there didnt think it was worth the money, please respect our comments.
