This is our third visit at Elaine and Steve's Guest House. Once again they made us extremely welcome, supplying us with a welcome cup of tea and slice of cake. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Especially the fresh fruit selection. The room was small but cosy with excellent decor throughout. The little extras in the room make a huge difference. Well done Elaine and Steve. Sometimes you think you are in a 5 star hotel!

Room Tip: The best room in the house is the large front room. We stayed there last time but unfortunately it...

What more can we say!. Steve and his wife met us with a cup of coffee on arrival, and looked after our every want for the next 4 days, We booked their best room and were not disappointed .The food was spot on and the only thing that spoilt our stay was the weather!!

Room Tip: Go for the "King"it was well worth the little extra

Stayed here after reading all the reviews and there is nothing more to say, it is simply fantastic. Great decor, very clean, wonderful breakfast. The bar area is comfy and a nice area to sit and have a drink after a day out.

Thank you Steve & Elaine for another great stay!

We were warmly greeted and provided with a welcomed cup of tea on arrival. Our bedroom was spotlessly clean, with a very comfy bed and quality bedlinen and towels. Elaine has great taste in decor! As others have mentioned, there is a great choice of food on the breakfast menu.

Nothing is too much trouble for Steve & Elaine, who are excellent hosts, and they deserve every success in their value for money B&B. The Arthington will always be our place of choice on our annual visits to Blackpool and we have no hesitation in strongly recommending it.

Room Tip: Book early to avoid disappointment

Never been to Blackpool but we have all heard horror stories about B&B’s, therefore my expectation was fairly low. The surprise and treat of our group trip has to be “The Arthington” B&B the owners Elaine and Steve could not have been more helpful or nice throughout our two night stay. The title B&B does not do justice to this beautiful boutique style accommodation. Extremely good value including very reasonable bar prices and the breakfast was excellent, good quality and generous. The rooms vary in size and are quite compact; however they are quite well equipped containing everything you would expect in a 5star hotel including docking station for your I-phone with speaker’s radio alarm etc. The location is great too, a short walk to the beach (around 500mtr) and pretty close to the attractions: 10-15min walk to Blackpool Tower at North pier and about the same to the Pleasure Beach at South pier. This proved very useful especially when enjoying a few beers removing the need for taxis or the hassle of driving. Steve was also very good at pointing us towards good places to eat, drink as well as offering great tips about where to avoid and the best times to visit certain places; he even had some special offer vouchers. All 6 of us really enjoyed our stay at “The Arthington” and would recommend, however to be sure you get the booking you desire we suggest you book well in advance, we booked in Feb for Sept and took the last three rooms. I have been reviewing hotels on trip advisor for a few years now and this has to be one of the easiest most positive reviews I have ever written, thank you Elaine & Steve for your fabulous hospitality and making our stay so rewarding.

Room Tip: Allow time to find a parking space it a bit limited but is free along the same street. Ask Steve or...

I stayed 3 nights at The Arthington.
On arrival I was welcomed by Steve, the welcome was warm and friendly.
I was shown to the bar and Steve made me a welcomed cup of tea just what I needed.
I was shown to my room, room 3 a single on the first floor.
When I walked into the room it had the wow factor, well decorated and co-ordinated, lovely furniture, and a comfortable bed with quality bedding which made for a good nights sleep.
Freeview tv was provided and free wifi no issues with signal quality.
The ensuite bathroom was immaculate as is the whole house, with complimentary toiletries, the shower was warm and powerful and the towels nice and fluffy.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water with biscuits and a packet of sweets was provided and replenished.
Breakfast is first class with a good choice of continental or cooked.
I had orange juice, tea, toast, the snowfall, pastries and cereal bars you do not need any lunch as the breakfasts are filling.
Steve and Elaine are lovely people friendly and welcoming and are approachable, their guest house is more like a boutique hotel without the fancy prices, the room rate is reasonable.
I highly recommend this guest house would book again without hesitation.

Room Tip: All rooms would be of a high quality.
