“Good for a one night stay!”

Me and a group of friends wanted a cheap place to stay! We booked to stay at the queensgate hotel and had a sea front view it was right on the promenade... There is four car park spaces right at the front of the hotel so we made sure we got there early.
The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very basic but clean! Which is all that we wanted. The hotel is about 20 minute walk from the town and 2 minute ride away in a taxi..
The staff are quite generous with there checking in and out which is good news.
Over all a really nice hotel! And would recommend for somewhere cheap to stay

We stayed here over half term for 2 nights with our 5 & 6 year olds. We were greeted with a warm welcome and were shown to a clean room. After checking in we were continually asked if there was anything we needed and when we did need to ask for something, the staff went out of their way to help.
The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff ensured that we had an extra heater to make sure that the kids were warm enough during our stay, which we were grateful for even though it wasn’t used as the room was warm.
The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff had no issues with bringing extra toast when asked.
Overall we had a very good experience of The Queensgate Hotel and would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anybody with a family.

Stayed here as a big group for a night out in Blackpool, the hotel is definatly fine for this kind of stay and the staff do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The only downside I would say is the rooms, my friend and I have a 'double' but it was more like a queens size bed, luckily we weren't bothered but others may of been. The rooms are also quite small and basic. Staff let u have room the next day for as long as needed at no extra cost which is nice, breakfast was also good!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We got a friendly welcome when we arrived and they helped us with things to our room. It was lovley to stay somewhere that was family all round. We will be returning next year.

We stayed here mainly because we had booked a Saturday night show in town and as we were already staying elsewhere on the Friday wanted just one nights accommodation. However because it was the illuminations most hotels near the centre were only taking bookings for 2 or more nights and the Queensgate was the best rated hotel with availability for the one night.
The hotel was very busy (especially the bar area when we arrived) but we were checked in fairly quickly, provided with direction on where to park and our bags taken up whilst hubby parked the car. Given our late booking I don't think I can grumble too much about the very small room we got - we got "what it said on the tin" (a double ensuite) albeit that the bed took up 70% of the floorspace and the shower room was of equally diminutive proportions. But we were only staying the one night - the amount of luggage we had was more than an overnight stay because we had stayed in Yorkshire the night before but there was plenty of space and hangers in the wardrobe.
There was a problem with the TV but the staff very quickly sorted it out.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic as it was, I suspect, exceptionally busy and there seemed to be several staff serving food but no-one clearing and resetting tables but it was quite good when it arrived.
If someone was looking to go to Blackpool and stay a bit out of the centre it might be worth considering (but not in room 1 unless you like to be very cosy !)

I have just had a super 2 nights at this charming little B&B near Gynn Square. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The party consisted of My two daughters and their families - 3 grandsons.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable. I had a single room but the door lock was faulty, I needed my son in law to get me in to my room. But I am sure it will be attended to. The room had a sea view with all the facilities that one expects. My bed was very comfy and it was lovely to lie in bed watching the sea across the road.

We will certainly consider staying there again. Thanks to Lynn & Paul and also thanks for the super breakfast.

Stayed at Queensgate with my husband and 2 children for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. The hotel isn't the most modern but you can see the owners are working at that. Our room was on the top floor and we weren't disturbed at all even though there were some stag parties staying. The room had a fab view overlooking the sea, the beds were comfy and the white bedding clean. I didn't like the tv, but we hardly watched it! The bathroom was very small and a bit run down, certainly not the worst I've seen. Breakfast was average, I did feel the staff were a bit overstretched but maybe spreading breakfast out over more than an hour would work better. In general I agree, you get what you pay for, I would return to Queensgate hotel if looking for a no frills, friendly place to stay for a night or two.
