We vist Blackpool twice a year as our daughter dances at the Winter Gardens and have now stayed at the New Guilderoy for the last 2 years. Simon and Rhona are lovely hosts and always make us feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. . Best breakfast in Blackpool! Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Ideally situated only 20 minutes walk from the town centre. We will be booking again as soon as we know the date our daughter will be dancing in November.

We stayed at the New Guildroy over the New Year's break and Simon and Rhona are fabulous host's and could not do enough for their guests, we hardly ventured from the hotel as there was so much going on and the food was lovely, it was my husband's birthday on New Year's Eve and they sent him a card and brought a bottle of buck's fiz for breakfast, this turned out to be the first of many bottles of fiz we had over the period we stayed there, we won some on the competitions and had several complimentary on New Year's Eve and even though it was sad to leave, the food and drink was so plentyfull we had to go home to detox!! The rooms were lovely and clean,

We booked based upon the high ratings provided by Trip Advisor because we wanted a little quality, but were very disappointed. Whilst the downstairs reception rooms were elegantly and expensively furnished and the breakfasts were exceptionally good, the rooms (and we saw 3 including the Anniversary Suite) were about the usual Blackpool standard; ie clean, but small, tired, cluttered and in need of renovation or a makeover. Even though it was explained that repairs were taking place after a roof collapse earlier this year, we shouldn't have had to put up with a door missing from the shower, extractor-fan not working, inadequate room for towels, crackly, sweaty plastic mattress protector (there are good alternatives!) and a dark warning in the guest information book threatening over £100 charged to your credit card if you damage the bed-throw (which looked worth half that.).
The hosts were really attentive but we have had better space and comfort at ordinary Blackpool B & B's. I'd been hoping to treat my Lady to somewhere a bit special, but was disappointed.

Just got back from a great weekend stay at this hotel.

Arrived late on friday evening (9pm) and still recieved a warm welcome from Simon. No fuss checking in, Simon was expecting us and gave us a brief introduction to the hotel before showing us to our room.

Following our arrival, we went out for a short while, we had our own front door key and didnt have to return to the hotel by any particular time before being locked out.

Breakfast on both mornings was excellent. Both Simon and Rona were exemplary hosts and made us feel like valued guest throughout our stay.

Lovely clean room, iron, iron board and hairdryer were provided, these were welcomed, beats ironing on a towel on the floor..!! Thanks

The hotel is situated North of the North pier, probably approx 30min walk South to the tower, tram access 2min walk from the hotel.

I enquired with Simon and Rona about a place to eat on sat evening and they pointed us inthe direction of the Red Lion (about £5 taxi trip away), They arranged a cab for us from the hotel which was there promptly, great meal as well.

Hotel is highly recommended, accommodation in blackpool is a bit of a lottery to say the least, when we return to blackpool it will certainly be back to this hotel.

Many thanks Simon and Rona

Just returned from a short break in Blackpool. If every hotel had hosts like these, there would be no complaints from anyone. Simon and Rhona just cannot seem to do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. The breakfasts have to be the best in Blackpool, they are freshly cooked to order - you don;t get that in many places anywhere these days. All their ingredients are top quality as well.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. the children had a playstation provided for them in their room - free of charge - happy days!!
Value for money - well you just won't get any better I don't think.
Well done to the pair of you - you are a credit to your vocation.
