A friend and I stayed at the lyndene hotel on the 13th February, when we arrived at reception it took a while for the reception staff to acknowledge us. Once checked in we were given confusing directions to our room the man on reception seemed more interested in trying to sell us a old room safe. The reception area is nice but abit like a jumble sale. We couldn't find our room however a nice young barman kindly pointed us in the right direction. We booked a twin Room which was a double and a single bed the room was fine nice light and clean bathroom seemed new. We went down for our meal at the second sitting 6.15 the restaurant was abit dark with old tables and chairs a table cloth would make it so much more appealing, staff were friendly the starter and soup were average, I had a delicious braised steak for my main which I really enjoyed however the potatoes were hard, my friend ordered chicken escalope and was disappointed when two birds eye chicken burgers turned up. The bar area is very nice and jazzy, the entertainment was good but definitely for an older audience. We were woken up early by the cleaning staff having a loud conversation outside our room. We went down for breakfast after sitting at the table for 10 minutes waiting to be served a guest on the table next to us had to tell us we had to go get our breakfast ourselves, the breakfast was satisfactory.

The staff were outstanding in all departments too from arrival to departure.
Paul, Steven, Tracey, Dave in reception.
John,Ashley and special mention for Phil .in the bar,
Brian in the Washington was ever so funny.
And the cleaning and bedroom girls were brill.
Room was brilliant. Food excellent. LOVED THE BREAKFAST and the Lamb on Saturday was to die for. Absolutely YUMMY.
The entertainment was brilliant especially Michael Jackson tribute on Saturday night, followed by DJ SWIFTY keeping the boogie going.
Don't blame it on the sunshine
Don't blame it on the moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on DJ SWIFTY
Friday 27th February to Monday 2nd March

Myself,my husband and 2 daughters stayed at the Lyndene hotel 8th and 9th Feb 14,bar prices were very good for a hotel, entertainment good, food lovely apart from the Fish as it was like the cheep one from a supermarket, apart from that the food was lovely.our rooms had no windows to open so it did get too hot, air con didn't work very well, staff very friendly... I would recommend and I will return,if you don't smoke ask for the no smoking part as you can smoke in the rooms and we don't and hate the smell of smoke . No other problems all round a lovely place to stay and in a great place.

Room Tip: Ask for no smoking

Just returned home from a 2 night/3 day stay at the Lyndene Hotel, which is located directly on the prom opposite the newly constructed sea defence/seaside walk. Fab hotel made all the more special by the staff. Superb 5 course dinner chosen from a wide ranging menu and all from our party of 6 were happy with the food - and believe you me that's no mean feat - we are fussy ones! The service would not shame any high class restaurant I've ever been to! Our meal was followed by cabaret in the lounge bar - sound entertainment too! Rock Stewart was really impressive as a Rod Stewart tribute act - sound and mannerisms so like Rod in his prime it was uncanny. There followed a girl singer whose name was not advertised but she too was a good singer and warm hearted entertainer. All in all a good evening. What followed was a good nights sleep in our comfy beds. Breakfast was the next masterpiece! Again ALL 6 in our group were suited with their choice from the wide range of breakfast food. The waiting on staff were once again a credit. Then off to walk to Blackpool centre a comfortable 30 minute stroll. What we saw en route was disappointing - the amount of boarded up hotels gave a very sad impression of a once vibrant town. Blackpool centre itself was as busy ever and the Guinness in Scruffy Murphy's was a real triumph by the management there! We had planned to visit the pier bar to watch joey blower but found out that there was a £3 charge to get in so we didn't bother - shame he's normally very good to get your laughter muscles going!
Shopping and back to the Lyndene to shower and change for dinner and another cabaret! Guess what? All 6 were suited with their meals - unbelievably fussy people such as us 6 were again suited with well cooked food chosen from the Saturday night menu!!! And super puddings too all served by the super staff. Cabaret consisted of a Michael Jackson tribute act and he was good! Another fun evening and a good sleep followed by another good breakfast! What a fab weekend! Praise goes to the management and staff of such a well run establishment - we will be back!

Organiser for 50th birthday celebration rang to cancel her room. Her daughter gave birth 5 weeks early, unpredictable. The hotel thought that all rooms were cancelled, when in fact it was just the one room. As the first party to arrive it appeared that the somewhat compromised party would be totally disappointed. The staff accommodated us all with rooms in the st chads next door. This I believe to be the most resourceful way to please the guest. More to follow x

Arrived at the Lyndene after leaving a disaster of a fist hotel, were welcomed by staff who were very helpful. Got two rooms next to each other and were both lovely, very warm, spacious and everything you could need. Unfortunately didn't get to eat here but the cocktails were lovely. On a whole cant fault the place one bit, will definitely be staying here again.

Just got back from our second weekend at the Lyndene in the last 3 months. The first visit was excellent in every way, we booked a second weekend, hoping that it would be just as good. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED, the rooms are clean and warm with everything that we needed. All the staff, bar none, were very efficient and helpful. The choice and quality of food on offer in the restaurants was just as impressive as the service by the waiters. The excellent evening entertainment is varied, solo singers, comedy acts or tribute artists. We made full use of the bar credit system, which is very good value. Just about to book again for later this year.
