After trawling through numerous sites on Blackpool hotels we found this perfect place. We stayed for two nights 24/25 April and couldn't have wished for anything better.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and Kevin and Elaine made us feel most welcome. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely bay window which you could sit in and watch the world go by. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, television, kettle, hairdryer etc.
The food was excellent. As we visited out of season the hotel was not doing evening meals but I would reccommend that if they are available when you stay, book them! I am confident that they would be every bit as good as breakfasts were!
When we next visit Blackpool we will definitely stay here again and will reccommend this hotel and Kevin and Elaine very highly to everyone.

Have just returned home from a 4 day break at The Collingwood. We cannot praise it enough. We were made to feel welcome immediately and this carried on throughout the holiday. Attention to detail was exceptional in the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. Meals were of a very high standard and very plentiful.

Kevin and Elaine are perfect hosts, there if needed, but not at all imposing.

Will definitely be returning.

Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Our stay at the Collingwood Hotel was very pleasant indeed. Although we only stayed one night we would liked to have remained longer. The fully cooked breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and endless pots of freshly brewed tea!! The bedrooms cosy and clean - the beds affording a good night's rest. The evening spent in the bar was relaxing and definately entertaining!! The interior decor and furnishings have all been tastefully thought out and in particular I was impressed with the small attention to detail in order to make one's stay more memorable. The Proprietors, Kevin and Elaine were friendly and accommodating and clearly work very hard in order to maintain these high standards. Overall our stay at this establishment was very enjoyable and will most certainly go again. Thank you!

We have just returned from a 2 day city break to Blackpool. arriving 01/06 leaving 03/06. We decided to have a break literally at the last minute (the day before we actually arrived). We called Kevin and he sorted us out with a room. Honestly, I didn’t expect much because we were paying only 24£ ppn, but when we got there the room was gorgeous. It’s not facing the water, or in the middle of the attractions, but that is what makes it pleasurable. There is no traffic noise at night and you can leave your window open and feel the breeze without hearing drunk Hens and Stags singing and yelling in the streets, and it’s only a 5 minute tram ride to all the attractions. Kevin was very hospitable, and even willing to accommodate our vegetarian needs. I will definitely stay here again in August when we return to Blackpool for a longer stay.

We booked into the hotel for a four night stay between 18th April and 21st April and had a wonderful time; being made extremely welcome by the hosts, Kevin and Elaine. We were made to feel very welcome and felt totally relaxed during our stay. Our first impression was of a very clean and friendly hotel and this impression was proved to be more than correct.

Our room was very comfortable, clean and of a very good size and included items such as a multi channel digital tv plus a DVD/CD player and Dreamcast games, which went down a treat with the kids !

The quality and quantity of the food is excellent. We particularly liked the breakfasts, which are first class and really set the family up for the day. The evening meals are excellent too. It is quite obvious that a lot of thought and preparation is given by Kevin and Elaine to the choice of menu and the quality of the food served - overall the food is tremendous value for money, you won't find better anywhere.

The hotel bar has a fantastic atmosphere and is very well stocked. Kevin has a good choice of beers, shorts and soft drinks (plus nibbles and crisps) and the prices are very very good. There is a lounge area (with TV) joining onto the bar area and we had some terrific evenings in with the other guests and our hosts. Its a very relaxing environment and one that was enjoyed by the kids, who thought it was great when Elaine joined in to play some card games and Jenga - not sure who enjoyed it the most actually !

Anyone who is not able to enjoy their visit to the Collingwood needs to get out more. We have stayed in a number of hotels in Blackpool and this is by far the best. I would strongly recommend that you try this hotel because I can guarantee that you will really enjoy the experience and leave for home totally refreshed and recharged.

In summary..good location..family orientated..very clean..excellent food..welcoming..highly recommended..exceeded expectations..nothing is too much trouble.. great value..10/10
