We arrived yesterday with national holidays. Couldnt book in until 3.30 so given free tea/coffee. We filled the signing in form and took it to reception where the lady disappeared leaving us stood there very welcoming.eventally after ringing the bell she came back and off we went to explore Blackpool. How surprised we were it's like many places run down tatty and dirty. Got back to hotel given a room dingy outlook a wall and small. Off we went to next one a three bed one a bit better until the draws fell apart also the cutains hung the wrong way round only three channels on the tv. Dinner included cold potatoes with a turkey dinner three attempts and they were warm not good food. The single bed was comfortable and clean. So off we go for breakfast to be seated by the gent who thinks he's running a five star hotel.

The hotel was excellent in terms of cleanliness food and personal service. The staff were first class and more than helpful we had a great time and thoroughly recommend it. The entertainment at night was good and varied, even though we didnt win the bingo georgevtheccaller did us proud and wasca real gentleman.

Stayed here with National Holidays on a five day, four night break 12-16 August 2013. It is the usual type of Hotel for these stays, old, but clean and tidy. Arrival was a disaster, three coaches landed together and staff couldn't cope with check ins, as these coaches were also taking people home, We arrived at 1.30 and got room keys at 3.30. A new system was in use for our departure so I hope no one else has these problems.
The dining room was small and crowded, tables are too close together and the many very elderly had difficulty managing the buffet style meals. Better meal times would have helped, the meals were only available between 8.30-9.45 and 5.30-6.45 so everyone arrived at the same time and there was not enough room, longer meal times would have avoided this congestion.
Now the upside, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, they were always cheerful and helpful. The food was plain, but well cooked and plenty of it. We had entertainment every night, all good. On the whole it was good value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms vary in size and some have good views others not.

stayed in this hotel from Monday to Friday, with family (4 adults) it was ok basic at that, at reception I personally found one member of staff quite rude, she said very sarcastically you can't have your room till after 3pm we had arrived at I say about 12.30, now if we had known that then we would not have got an early train out as it did not say about not having your room on the website or in the paperwork they sent to say you were staying there. also leaving your luggage on its own is not advisable even through the reception said you could leave it there or in the bar as anyone could just walk up and take it as the desk was unmanned you had to push a bell then they would come out and see you. The room we stayed in was pretty shocking, don't think the room maids give a damn about cleaning, when I went to put my travel bag under my bed I found a empty coke bottle under it, went over to the window to check out the view had a sea view room, and be hind the safety deposit box there was a dead dragon fly, that looked like it had been there for a while but the window sill didn't look like it had been cleaned in ages. The bathroom was ok, the sink was broken, the broken bit was the plug hole it was the type of plug hole that has a push button behind the taps, it wouldn't pop up so we left it till the next morning, the next morning we went down to the reception and she took down the information at about 9.30 I went out for the day and did not get back to the hotel till about 3.30 pm got my key from reception as you could hand it in and they would look after it for you and you could get it back when you come back, went up to the room and it had still not been fixed I told my mum as this was a family holiday and she came and found out the leaver was not plugged in to anything we managed to get the plug up with a nail file. the room my mom was staying in had a file that comes with a lot of hotels the type that give you information about the hotel, my room did not have this, and a tv remote was 5 pound deposit. that would be given back when you check out, the evening meal was a roast dinner every night that was help your self if you wanted more meat you would have to pay for it at the bar

5 day trip with National Holidays staying at the NEW PRESIDENT,I asked for a family room (myself,hubby,2 grandkids) the room we got could have had 2 families in,so spaceous, large bathroom with jaccuzi,The views along the coast were fab,Tower lit up at night,I sat up till 3 in morning just looking out. Restaurant staff were great, nothing a bother.Breakfast was very good and plentiful, evening meal was good even though first 2 nights main meal rather bland and not very hot,it did improve the following 2 nights.Well done Joshua & Stuart. Entertainment each night was good plus a game of bingo.George did a good job as compere. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, regarding what to see, where to go,how to get there. Also for getting in touch with National Holidays for information regarding to day trip to the lakes and pick up times for the return journey on the Friday. We had a total of 4 drivers on this trip, only 1 was pleasant, his name was Glenn and he took us to the Lakes,The other was from henry cooper coach, cant remember his name but he did'nt give us much information and the other 2 on the return journey were not very pleasant, the last one did'nt even introduce himself. Never mind we had a great time in Blackpool, loads to do and see for both adults and kids, Bonus- the weather was great too.PS -Bus and trams stop directly outside hotel.

Room Tip: 4th floor, room 409,great for family and views
