Our first visit to the Pembroke and we highly recommend the Hotel. From the moment you arrive you feel welcome, a tray of tea or coffee starts your stay. Michael was very helpful with information on the local attractions and the bus and tram routes. Rooms were exceptional with everything you could ever need and so clean and comfortable and delightfully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble. the food and service were excellent, a lovely breakfast to start the day and a wonderful evening meal was served at 5.30pm to allow you time to get off to evening entertainments or see the illuminations. Michael and Alan are lovely hosts and make their hotel feel like your home for the time of your stay. When we visit Blackpool again the Pembroke is where we will stay.

We have stayed at the Pembroke on quite a few occasions previously, and as always it was just perfect. In fact each time we visit there are new little touches to the rooms etc.
The whole hotel is very well equipped, clean and comfortable, and the food is lovely (especially the Eggs Benedict).
After telling friends for ages all about the Pembroke, they decided to book with us this year and loved the whole break, and cant wait to go back again.
Our daughter had not planned to come with us on this occasion, but decided after we left for Blackpool that she would be missing out on a good weekend. So she rang to book a room, luckily they had one available. Imagine our surprise, when we she rang to say she was on her way, having said goodbye to her at home a few hours earlier.
Alan and Michael are lovely hosts, always very welcoming, with a pot of tea or coffee after your journey.
Had a lovely weekend, weather was good too, plus we had the added bonus of seeing a spectacular meteor pass right across the sea front and out to sea, whilst walking back to the hotel on the Friday evening.
Looking froward to our next visit.

Just back from a wonderful weekend's stay at Pembroke with friends who had recommended this hotel and I must say hosts Michael & Alan were charming and the service received was impeccable. From the moment you walk in it has a real cosy feel about it and you instictively know that you're in for a lovely stay there. The rooms are spotless and the food is delicious I had a full English for breakfast the first morning and eggs Benedict the second which was cooked to perfection and Michael's home made Marmalade and Jam's are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to detail ensures you have a most enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend Pembroke Hotel and already looking forward to our next visit.

The attention to detail and extra facilities provided by the owners was remarkable.

"Forgotten your reading glasses? - Use ours,(There is a selection).

Want a free book to read or a DVD - See our library.

Clean you shoes, sir? - Use our m/c in the hall.

Need a sewing kit? - There is one in your bathroom.

Impressive eh?

etc. etc.

If you want to stay near Gynn Square, at a modest price, eat well and be pampered - Look no further.

As many others here have written, there is plenty of admirable food. There are in addition pristine pressed and laundered napkins, spotless white tablecloths, excellent cutlery and crockery, and the food served (at dinner) by Michael in a smart dickie-bow.

I had viewed the impressive reports on Trip advisor and wondered if they were just too good to be true. Having just come back from our 2 night stay there, as Neil Diamond wrote and the Monkees recorded in 1966 "I am a believer..".

Room Tip: Room 5 is quiet, compact, and at the rear. If you are large (width-wise) the shower entrance might b...

Hotel is in an ideal location. Spotless, lovely home cooked meals, nothing too much trouble for hosts Michael and Alan.
The steak pie, bread and butter pudding, and Michaels marvellous marmalade is wonderful.
