My girlfriend and I stayed last weekend, Friday and Saturday night. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and told to park round the back of the hotel off the main road, for free. We've stayed at many hotels in Blackpool and to park for free was a bonus. The Bedford is quite a large hotel in comparison to others we have stayed at, and there were lots of rooms close to each other. Friday night we went out and hit the bars. Our first night sleep was awful,
the double bed is very close to the door (which is not a fire door, and rattles) and our heads against the wall adjacent to the corridor. So during the night we could hear everyone and everything everyone was saying. in terms of cleanliness, we found hair on the shower head and shower gel in the shower, this shows it was either poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all. The room in general, was fairly clean.

Due to the late night we had on Friday we did not experience the breakfast so cannot comment on the food. Saturday night, my girlfriend and I hit the bars again. Once again, a poor night sleep due to the noise of people walking past, fire door slamming and heads so close to door that rattles! Also at 03.40 the FIRE ALARM WENT OFF!! After waiting outside in the cold for 15 minutes, NO member of staff was seen so went back to bed. With departure at 10.30am we had a poor night sleep and of course, did not experience the breakfast.

Upon checkout, we expected an apology at least for the false alarm but nothing was mentioned.

Overall for £35 a night, this is about average. But for the fairly poor cleanliness, poor design in room logistics, and false alarm (Which I know is not their fault, but some sort of apology would of been nice) i would not recommend more than 2/5 for this hotel. We come to Blackpool 3/4 times a year and have spent the same amount of money on better hotels.

I am very sorry to hear this gentleman did not enjoy his stay at the Bedford Hotel. Firstly all our doors are standard fire doors and are regular inspected by local authorities, and it was actually yourselves that disturbed other guests whilst coming in very late on the Friday night, a matter which I politely discussed with yourself on the Saturday morning, after you both did make it down in time for breakfast, if you had mentioned anything at the time about the bathroom I would have rectified this matter immediately, either by moving you to a different room or getting the entire room completely cleaned again, and might I point out that no headboard is on an adjacent wall to the corridors. I have spoken to members of staff, fellow guests and watched the cctv footage of the outside of the building when the fire alarms sounded, and you were both the first people to leave the rear of the building, very shortly after arriving back into the hotel, and also that neither of you followed any of the fire procedures listed in your bedroom, as you both waited at rear of the building whilst lighting countless cigarettes. As the alarm only sounded for a few seconds and was silenced whilst staff double checked the building, some of the other guests actual slept straight through the very quick noise of the alarm. If a fire had been located the alarms would have been resounded continuously, as you stayed at the rear of the building by the time we had got guests at the front sorted and by the time we got to you both you had re-entered your bedroom. As the fire alarm system and guest safety is a matter of extreme importance to us and no laughing matter, and the simple fact that half the guests where either still out in the town or fast asleep, we cannot apologise to everyone, and after guests we did apologise to, replied that we don’t need to apologise as they didn’t hear it or they were glad it worked. We did actually allow all guests a later check out of up to 1pm, which it was 2.30pm by the time you vacated your bedroom, and if you had mentioned anything to a member of staff we would have apologised. We feel the service; facilities and standard of accommodation we provide far exceed our pricing structure, especially when compared to other hotels within the local area. If the clients would like to ever return to the Bedford Hotel we will ensure their stay is too our highest of standards.

Unfortunately the first negative here is that it is in Blackpool, however Elaine and I were there for the dancing in the Tower Ballroom which is fantastic and cannot be bettered.
Back to the hotel, Upstairs the bedroom was not very clean at all quite small with window frames that need replacing, bathroom, again not very clean. Downstairs, there is a very nice lounge area with a very impressive dining area where we enjoyed an excellent breakfast.
There is a swimming pool which was not very warm and a sauna that had to be switched on when requested as if we were not expected!! Overall the answer is this establishment is ok, nothing more certainly for one night only.

I’m sorry the guests didn’t enjoy their stay at the Hotel. Unfortunately we are located in Blackpool and we are a traditional Blackpool family Hotel which is located directly on the seafront, this I cannot change. The large sea view window which measures a height of 5 foot and a length of 7½ foot in the guests room is certainly not small and does not need replacing. If they would have mentioned anything to the Reception or myself about their room we would have gladly moved them to a different room or re-cleaned it again, but can assure the guests the rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard, but please accept my apologises if they felt their room was not to a this. I am pleased they found our breakfast excellent and found our lounge areas to a nice standard. As the guests did not even use our swimming pool I do not understand their comments, they actually overheard myself informing other guests about the sauna and that the swimming pool was heated to 30 degrees, whilst they themselves were waiting for their taxi to arrive to take them to the dancing. If the guests would like to stay at the Bedford again, we will ensure they receive our up most attention and service during their stay.

This small and modest hotel is a bit careworn but their excellent staff got our food to us piping hot and serving nearly everyone in the hotel at the same time. This was a trip to the Grand National at Aintree and our bus did not turn up the hotel got hold of the tour operator and a replacement bus was sent. Because we did not get our own driver to the Grand National we had no idea when we would be picked up and again very efficiently we were helped. The Bedford Hotel stacked up very well in terms of a good value break Good Work and a big thank you to all.

Room Tip: Ask for a Sea View room ours was darkish and at the side. Lower floors have better water pressure.

We stayed at the Bedford hotel with my son football team last weekend. I have to say the kids had a great time in and out of the heated swimming pool and playing games in the lounge. The rooms where clean and of a good size for a family for the weekend. Food : served in the hotels dinning room was of a good standard staff very friendly and happy to chat. Walking distance to main shops etc. one down side was the lack of hot water for showers but this could down to hotel being full. All in all a very good hotel and I would stay here again. Thanks to all the staff.⚽

We had booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay at the Bedford Hotel for the night of the 1st of April as my parents came to visit us from France for Easter and we wanted to take them to the seaside without traveling to Cornwall , also we wanted to show them Blackpool with the pleasure beach , the tower , the arcades etc..

I had made a special request for a sea view room to make it extra special for my parents and to my delight they had given us the 2 rooms with sea view so it was nice that they made the effort for us :)
The rooms are cosy and very comfortable, old fashioned for sure but nothing that a lick of paint can't sort.
The rooms smelled clean and the bedding , bathroom etc.. were spotless. The floors were not hoovered so they were not very clean but hey it wasn't a problem as long as everything else was clean.

The furniture and especially the kettle could do with updating but everything does work fine.
The sea view was amazing.

The location of the hotel is really good , we walked everywhere but to go to pleasure beach I recommend a taxi or Tram but the Trams are quite dear as it is a long walk which would normally be ok but although sunny it was really cold .

The big plus of the hotel is the car park as we were allowed to leave the car there even after w checked out, it saved a lot of trouble finding a car park and saved us a lot as it's around £13 for 24 hours parking in Blackpool, so to have it included in the price was brill.

There is a small bar and a restaurant , we had a drink at the bar , it was quiet but functional.
In the morning we had a full English which was basic but really nice, there was also toast Jams, cereals juice etc.. so plenty. We really cannot complain at all.

Finally to say it is really well situated close enough to everything it is also far enough from the noise of the partygoers therefore it was very quiet and we had a great night sleep.

I would recommend it was really good value

Room Tip: Sea views are worth it , do not hesitate to contact hotel diretly with special request

I am pleased you found our rooms cosy and comfortable and can assure you all bedrooms are hoovered daily and that we are constantly painting both the inside and outside of the hotel.
