“Wonderful place ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014 via mobile

Called in for lunch recently and once again Number 5 remains definitely one to be recommended. Good food, good service and all round very clean and welcoming place. Stands head and shoulders above anything in the area and our place of choice whenever we're in the area. Comes complete with wireless, newspapers and very clean 'facilities'

“Steak piefect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2014

Best pie I've ever had, and the gravy was also great. The chips were very nice, but not as nice as the pleasant staff who were very polite and quick, nor table-shy and were very quick to clean our tables, all around a piefect cafe

“Fab little place. GREAT for sitting in the sun all day.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

I do like a smart little eatery/coffee shop where I can just plonk myself down and order a sandwich or soup. This is just the place.

They do have main meals too like cottage pie and fish n chips. VERY cheap i might add too. Even cheaper with a Taste Card!

It's well presented, stands out from it competitors either side of it and has seating out, inside and even upstairs. It's a hot sunny day but still I want something hot to eat. They do a soup and panini for like £5.50p! Again. HALF PRICE with a Taste Card!! Wow! Now i had my reservations...even for something that cheap I really thought it would be a tiny serving. Not so =) A big panini and a deep bowl of pea and bacon soup. Both very nice. Great flavour. I'm happily full!

My boyfriend ordered a cheese and ham toastie which was big. And a latte. Which I'm especially picky about as I'm a trained barista for Costa Coffee. Its ever so nice. Has a nice foam on top and is smooth on the pallet. Milk not burned or too hot. GREAT coffee and cheaper than every other "label" coffee shop out there. Again- TASTE CARD!!! lol

I give it 4/5 as the service was a little slow and i didn't like to see customers deciding to eat either side of this place because tables just weren't cleared quick enough. It was sunny after all and everyone want's a seat in the sun. They had the staff on, but they preferred to stay indoors by the looks of it. A bit what i call "table shy" .Other than this and if you don't mind waiting for your table to be cleared or get them too- as we did- then it's a lovely little eatery in a nice place.

And as I always do i left a £2 tip. I'd rather have a nice waiter than one that was painfully quick and hurried us out without a smile. Our waiter was smiley, attentive and cleared our plates pronto and thanked us for eating there. Just nice =)

Dert cheap..clean..cute place. Takes Taste Card. Jump too it people =)
