Me and 3 other girls arrived to be told we had to pay £70 we didn't know about, only to walk in the hotel and be greeted by what can only be described wrong.

Do not stay here. We didn't listen to reviews it is the biggest regret of my life. This place is not fit for humans.

You can't walk around in the rooms with out shoes on because the floors are soaking with damp, the walls are mouldy, bed sheets were covered in hairs and make up and the stench its absolutely sickening, the windows don't shut properly, no toilet roll, toilet not cleaned, shower doesn't work, sink is in bedroom with no mirror or storage and one plug socket.

We thought we would have bunk beds 4 of us ended up in the double bed because they were so disgusting.

Soon as we got to this dump we had to walk 7 hotels away to the reception (with our bags) which was not a good start. We then got to our disgusting state of a hotel and were greeted by a foul smell, which was actually indescribable. We were not expecting much as we didnt pay alot but how this place has the cheek to charge to stay there is beyond me. We walked into our room which was tiny, 3 beds for 4 people, no lampshade, carpet half off and the bedsheets clearly hadnt been washed. we walked straight out and got a room in the hotel opposite. Do NOT give this place your money, i would rather sleep in a phone box.

I genuinely can't believe this hotel is even allowed to be open. I am truly disgusted. You have to walk to a different hotel just for your key because no one is manning this one, and no wonder. They don't wanna even sit in this hotel but we should pay to sleep in it?! None of the staff even stood up to give us towels. Just pointed to where we could get them! We walked to this pigsty & I couldn't believe my eyes. Not a shower in sight, damp crawling the walls, carpets 6 different colours, a set of bunk beds even a homeless man would say no to. I am appalled. The best part was checking out the next day & hitting the Hilton.

Room Tip: If you want a good room? Choose a different hotel.

Unfortunately for all the wrong reasons this will never be forgotten! Has to be the worst hotel in Britain. People say you get what you pay for but Blackpool has loads of cheap basic hotels that are clean and friendly, this however was filthy and smelt like a mix of wet dog and sewage.

To try and be fair start with what was good,

positives:

hot water, electric light

negatives:

bedroom - the smell, beds held together by what looked like cable ties, beds so shaky someone turning around on bottom bunk just about throws top person off bunk, dirty walls, soaking carpet - a yellow/brown colour of liquid, stained and dirty carpet, absolutely no storage, stained walls, damp walls, cobwebs, exposed electric wire at sockets, door lock minimal and only works at an angle.

Landings/stair dirty carpets, wallpaper peeling off, front door has no lock

Toilet/shower - basically converted cupboard, absolutely tiny. Door didn't lock, filthy, tiles had fallen off wall and were just lying in showertray, plaster dust everywhere, paint peeling off wall, shower only works at odd angle soaking wall even more (poor people in the next room), dirty underwear left from ??, no ventilation, toilet - well actually best I don't describe that - too horrific.

Did I mention the smell?!?

Do not get taken in by the clean, standard looking room photos on their website, the beds aren't even wood, they are metal.

If you are either seeking some form of extreme challenge (maybe even get sponsored for charity) try staying here 2 weeks - I say it can't be done! or if you want to set a new base standard from which to judge all other hotels, believe me, you would never be critical about anywhere again then stay here otherwise avoid like the plague, which might actually be lurking in the grime.......

I would never normally bother with reviews like this, however this place was so disgusting that people really need to be warned off EVER staying here. It was so bad that I really don't know where to start, I will start by saying that the guy(owners son) that showed us to our room was friendly enough but that is only slight positive I can give. Alarm bells were ringing right from the off, when we were took to a different hotel, the York hotel that is under same ownership as Adam and Eve. There is no lock on outside door, anyone could walk in but even someone living on the streets would probably walk straight back out on entering this cesspit. Room was stinking and carpet was soaking, not damp but soaking. There was a lock on the door but it would not have took much force to open the door. As bad as the room was the state of the showers/ toilets took things to an even worse level. Words almost fail me re the state of them, mould and dirt on walls, same on floor, broken tiles left on shower floor, soaking wet disgusting floors with nowhere to hang your clothes. It really had to be seen to be believed, they were that bad that I took the cleaner option in my opinion and didn't have a shower. Now I realise at 15 pound a night its not going to be the ritz, but basic clean facilities I do expect. My friend who is a bash on, make do with what we have type of lad and who has travelled extensively throughout Europe said this was on a par if not worse than rooms in Thailand where he paid 70 pence a night!!! I cannot believe that environmental health have not been made aware of this place, if they are and they do their jobs properly they will close this place instantly. The owner clearly knows himself how bad it is, when I went to get deposit back his head was bowed and seemed to just be waiting to be hit with both barrels, I did not have the energy at the time to say anything. Please NEVER ever stay here, you will regret it.
