“2nd time we have stayed - excellent standards have been maintained”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

We stayed the first time shortly after it opened and were very impressed so decided to give it another go . Glad to say its standards have been maintained
Receptionists welcoming , we had paid a bit extra for a room overlooking the pitch as it is a really impresive view , particularly when you draw back the curtains in the morning. I was surprised at how good the pitch looked , congratulations to the ground staff.
Grandson had a comfortable sofa bed and we had king size double, everything worked well and you have all the bits and pieces which you would expect in a first class hotel e.g toiletries, slippers, tea making facilities. Room clean and tidy and in good nick.
Breakfast in the morning was a buffet with a good selection , all nicely cooked and hot . Tea/coffee served by staff.
Check out efficient. Child friendly but also for business guests and rooms well sound proofed.
Car parking is limited but you can use the carpark of the Travelodge opposite if you come back late.
Grandson ( although sadly a Man U fan , I am Preston N.E. fan ) regards it as his best hotel which given we have stayed at quite a number incl 5 star hotels is a good endorsement

Room Tip: Get a room overloking then pitch

Only a one night stay, but 14 of us were meeting up at the hotel, before going for afternoon tea and dancing at the Tower Ballroom. We (parties of 4, then 2) were first to arrive from about 10.30 onwards, well in advance of expected check-in time. Nevertheless, the reception staff offered to store our luggage and, with more than good grace, made a room available for the ladies in our party to get changed into their ballroom finery!

At about 5.30 pm, after the Tower experience, we all returned to check-in. Again, the service, and approach of the reception staff, could not be faulted as we were directed to our rooms and advised of facilities and breakfast times, etc.

After freshening up, early evening in Rowley's Bar found us enjoying the same high standards of service from the bar staff for our pre-dinner drinks, before heading out for the evening.

Concierge service was excellent in arranging transport to our booked restaurant and, on our return, we found the late night bar staff also very accommodating.

Well appointed rooms and very comfortable beds gave us a good night's sleep, followed by a very good buffet style breakfast - choices of fruit juices, cereals, yoghurts and fruit to start; the full choice of cooked breakfast items (regularly refreshed and topped up), then toast and preserves, though it took 2 circuits of the rotary toaster to transform warm bread into proper toast!

Continuous offers of tea and coffee refills were also the order of the day.

Many of the staff were quite young, but Blackpool FC Hotel must be complemented on their staff training programme. From the time we first went into Reception, to the point when we checked out, every single member of staff that we encountered was polite, acommodating and helpful.

The location is excellent, being relatively close to the centre of things. The Tower is about 20 mins walk going North, and the quieter South Shore (beyond the Pleasure Beach) is about an hour's walk.

14 of us in the party, all enjoying the facilities of the hotel, with 5 couples staying overnight. It seems that none of us could find much fault with anything that we encountered.

saw 2 night offer on wowcher at a good price.
Its a very nice hotel rooms are very well equipped . with a massive telly to, comfortable bed aswell,
some rooms look out onto the football pitch, but ours overlooked travelodge, its not to far to beach, and about a twenty minute walk into town, so not the worst place to be,the hotel restaurants very nice if a little on the pricey side , you also have breakfast in the restaurant which is overlooking the football pitch.
so it was a nice relaxing comfortable stay
concierge was very hellpful to

The hotel is in a perfect location, close enough to all amenities but far enough out to not hear the noise. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, the bar is brilliant. By far the most amazing service is the concierge who at 2am went far beyond their duties to make us happy, and helped some worse for wear guests up to their rooms. Amazing stay look forward to the next one!!

Phoned ahead and got an early check in. Room overlooking the pitch was very nice and had plenty of wardrobe space.
Breakfast was frustrating as you were always waiting for something, no plates, go back up,got plates but no bacon ready, go back up, got bacon but now no eggs, go back up, now no bread for toast. By the time you sat down your food was cold. Also very slow serving tea and coffee. This happened on both mornings we were there, so maybe not a one off.
For the money we paid good service is not too much to ask.
Overall, great room, shame about the service.

Stayed at this hotel for one night over the Bank holiday week-end. Booked through a hotel web site but on arriving at hotel they had no notice that we were traveling as two adults and 2 children. No problem! the receptionist immediately called house keeping and had the double sofa-bed made up. We had lunch in the restaurant, very nice but did have to wait a while even with very few people in.
The room was a nice size with a view looking out over the pitch. We didn't dine in the Restaurant in the evening opting to drive to Lytham to eat at the Portafino Restaurant.
The bed was very firm (but we like that) and there was very little noise from other staying guests. The only down side with the room was that the TV did not have much in the way of channels, usual BBC,ITV,Channel 4 etc but no sport or SKY 1 etc just shopping channels!
Breakfast was again in Rowleys, this is the bar/restaurant, food was great and plentiful however, it did feel a little cramped with tables situated very close together

We would definately stay here again, a nice modern clean hotel

I booked a couple of nights here as my team were playing Blackpool on the last day of the football season. After a long train ride from London, I'm glad it was very easy to find, and a quick taxi ride from the train station.

I arrived quite late (around 11pm) but no problem with access and the night porter checked me in and took payment very quickly. I'd booked one of the more expensive rooms, as I'd hoped for a pitch view and I wasn't disappointed. Even at night was lovely to have a view of the ground from my room.

The room itself was a good size, very modern with a flat screen tv and free wi-fi throughout the hotel area. Bathroom was also spacious, with enough products and towels to see my through my stay.

Breakfast was included, and this was taken in the main bar/restaurant which is plenty big enough for all the guests. The usual selection of cereals/fruit and cooked English breakfast means you won't start the day hungry.

I didn't use the attached gym, so can't comment on that. However it was nice that after watching the match with the away fans I had a 2 minute stroll 'home' to get back to my room.

I managed to leave behind my electric toothbrush, a quick e-mail and it was returned to me in the post, free of charge.

I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit, highly recommended.
