Great location, tasty food and very enjoyable entertainment. I am very impressed by the high standards of the staff, and the hotel especially Staff Member " Izabela " (Waitress) who has given excellent service service! All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

But nothing is to much trouble for Izabela. It is her service with a smile that has made my holiday.

She is a credit to Leisureplex. In my experience Izabela can be justifiably proud of the service she provides.

This is my first trip to see if I liked it. It has been far and above my expectations and I will certainly be coming again.

I rate you best for service and I wouldn't stay with anyone else. Good value for money -; all very good.

Here's to the next stay. The hotel has met my my expectations and no aspects have been found wanting.

I recommend Leisureplex to others as the best value for money hotels that I have used. The standard of the hotel is excellent.

Can't beat it for a hassle free break. Keep it up, please!.

Thank you.

It's been great!

Love the Theatre bar, we decided to have a night there as it was our last night. Mike Rosso the DJ & Compare can read a crowd like we read a book, he knows what music the customers like. Well done Mike a great night.

This was our second visit to Queens, and we were pleasantly surprised when we got a refurbished room (no. 229) this time around. Everything was clean and we had no problems with anything in the room, although the automated lighting in the corridor outside was a bit slow in coming on. I also noticed the lifts have been replaced with modern versions.

The only remaining disappointment left over from last year was the underdone toast at breakfast; otherwise the food was just as good as before. Also the free wi-fi coverage on the ground floor seemed to have a less powerful signal this time around.

These are minor problems however, and the continuing refurbishments are gradually making the hotel much better each time around.

this has to be the worst hotel i have ever stayed in.the only good point was the reception staff on arrival who were pleasant and helpful . the rooms were filthy and dated, the toilet i presume were cleaned before we arrived and the next morning and yet there was someones toe nail and hair lying behind the door, the ceiling tiles were all hanging off and the room in general was dirty and smelly, in three little words DONT GO HERE

Room Tip: dont book a room

I spent a long weekend at this hotel. I liked the location - on the sea front but away from the busiest central area of the town. Reception staff were welcoming and a small issue (a minor point, not a complaint) was dealt with promptly. There were two fast, efficient lifts, each holding nine persons (fewer with baggage, obviously). My single room, at the back on the first floor, had obviously been redecorated recently and the bathroom renovated (except for the carpeting and floor tiling) and was adequately furnished and equipped - but the dark furniture and cold colour-scheme (dark blue carpet, white walls, dull blue and dusky pink soft furnishings) were not welcoming in the north-facing room. There was a small, flat-screen television, hospitality tray with a rather attractive Leisureplex mug and an exhaustive amount of information in the hotel brochure. Bathroom toiletries were provided and used towels replaced daily. The single-bed mattress squeaked and the pillows were past their best but I was comfortable enough - however, I was unable to sleep well because of noisy neighbours slamming drawers and talking loudly at inappropriate times (such as 4 a.m.). As mentioned in an earlier review, mealtimes and tables were allocated on arrival. There was always a smiling greeting from the maitre d' and "my" waitress and service was invariably prompt and efficient. Interestingly, the menu for the whole week was on the table - each day a selection of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts plus a "special" that had to be ordered at breakfast time. The quality of the food varied - the fish and chips, for example, had been kept hot for far too long and were rock-hard - but the other items that I ordered during my stay were fine. The hotel is non-smoking throughout but provision is made for smokers outside the front door - in a wooden structure with seating. I cannot comment on the bar, entertainment provided or the leisure facilities as I did not have sufficient time to investigate, still less to make use of, them.
