“ok apart from out of date beer”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

stayed at the chequers for 1 saturday night november 2012. First impressions were ok, the hotel appears to have been recently modernised although is still out of date compared to the big chains. the bathroom was poorly designed with difficult access to the bath via the very slippy "sloped end" the rooms where clean and tidy, the hotel was very quiet so.we had the bar to ourselves which sold us out of date bottled lager, stating the draft lafer wax a bit iffy........... I would probably stay here again aslong as the price wad right.

Party of 11 stayed overnight for christmas party night and had fab time. Hotel clean, food good and lovely staff. Great value through Blackpool promotions. Although Hotel situated in north transport wasn't a problem as tram/bus stop ouside hotel. Will be back next year.

Just stayed at this Hotel for a Xmas Party Night (£59) with Blackpool Promotions. There were ten women for a works xmas bash.
From the moment we checked in, nothing was too much trouble. When requested the staff organised tables in the dining room, so that we could all be seated together. Food, was nice, rooms were spotless, and the staff were a cheery bunch.
Main course for dinner was buffet style, same with breakfast.
My only complaint would be that within the bar there were no cans/bottle of soft drinks. I find the carbonated drinks very distasteful.
The lift broke when we were there, but they were working on it when we left.
Entertainment was lively, and we had a great time.
Again, a very enjoyable time was had by all. The Hotel is on the front, so the views were stunning. Trams and buses stop outside the Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view... tremendous.....

Just stayed the one night but would definately stay again and recommend to friends and family. Nothing too much trouble for staff, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed and lovely room. Quite a walk in to town centre but bus and tram stop just outside on a regular basis so not too much of a problem.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Reception staff were friendly. We stayed in room 201 and on first impressions the room was clean and tidy but later on the first night I found two smelly bags of rubbish stuffed in the bathroom cupboard, in fairness to the staff this was dealt with straight away. The breakfast served was of a reasonable standard. If you are visiting Blackpools attractions I would reccomend that you use the tram because it is quite a long walk. Oh and the view from Room 201 isnt too good!!!

Room Tip: If you want a decent view avoid room 201

Wanted to stay over in Blackpool...Saw this hotel advertised and booked it!Amazing value and total comfort.....It was the last night of the illuminations and had a good view from the hotel plus had a walk along the promenade taking photo's on a cold but beautiful night..Fantastic! The breakfast was good and the hotel staff were reall helpful......Would recommend
Rooms not big but sooooooooooo warm and cosy.....We were on the 1st floor and we didn't hear any noise at all and slept well.....

Room Tip: We were in room 101...1st floor at the back and quiet....

Nice Hotel ,We stayed 27.10.12 for 1 night but wish it had been for longer. We would ask for a better room ,we payed £60 twin last room so we know there is better rooms so thats why I would go back.Bad things about it was there was no toiletries in the room only a note saying you could buy them at reception ,and we had no lights in our room till the middle of the night when they all of a sudden they came on strange !!! We did excuse it because it was the last room.Breakfast was very good .

Room Tip: Go for a larger room not the twin
