Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Reception staff were friendly. We stayed in room 201 and on first impressions the room was clean and tidy but later on the first night I found two smelly bags of rubbish stuffed in the bathroom cupboard, in fairness to the staff this was dealt with straight away. The breakfast served was of a reasonable standard. If you are visiting Blackpools attractions I would reccomend that you use the tram because it is quite a long walk. Oh and the view from Room 201 isnt too good!!!

Room Tip: If you want a decent view avoid room 201

Wanted to stay over in Blackpool...Saw this hotel advertised and booked it!Amazing value and total comfort.....It was the last night of the illuminations and had a good view from the hotel plus had a walk along the promenade taking photo's on a cold but beautiful night..Fantastic! The breakfast was good and the hotel staff were reall helpful......Would recommend
Rooms not big but sooooooooooo warm and cosy.....We were on the 1st floor and we didn't hear any noise at all and slept well.....

Room Tip: We were in room 101...1st floor at the back and quiet....

Nice Hotel ,We stayed 27.10.12 for 1 night but wish it had been for longer. We would ask for a better room ,we payed £60 twin last room so we know there is better rooms so thats why I would go back.Bad things about it was there was no toiletries in the room only a note saying you could buy them at reception ,and we had no lights in our room till the middle of the night when they all of a sudden they came on strange !!! We did excuse it because it was the last room.Breakfast was very good .

Room Tip: Go for a larger room not the twin

We booked last minute so weren't sure what to expect. Needn't have worried as we had a lovely warm welcome from the new management where nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and evening meal (very reasonably priced) were of a good standard. The room was really clean and comfortable and offered excellent value for money! Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area. 10 our of 10!

Room Tip: We had a back room and it was very peaceful

We stayed here for 4 days from 19th October. Easy check in, Jay was very welcoming. Rooms were very clean, spacious, smelt nice and we immediately felt comfortable. Meals are self service kath our waitress was funny and efficient. Great staff the manager Robert has, he couldn't do enough for you, what a lovely man! Stephen on the bar was a right comedian too. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. Thank you Robert for making us so welcome.

We stayed at the Chequers Plaza on the 23rd October. We didn't check in until late that evening, but the chap who was covering reception and also the bar was very pleasant. Our room was very clean, including the en-suite and the shower was exceptionally good. The hotel was quiet with not many guests when we were there so breakfast next morning wasn't buffet style but the pleasant receptionist served our breakfast to us. This was very good and piping hot and served on hot plates, which isn't always the case in some establishments, it makes such a huge difference. The only slight downside is that some of the decor on the stairs and corridors needs updating. However our bedroom was nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Also, the details of the hotel stated that there would be toiletries provided, so we didn't take shampoo or shower gel, but the bathroom just contained soap. We would probably stay again.

Room Tip: Our room was at the side, but we still had a view of the sea and some of the illuminations.

After being let down badly by Britannia hotels at the last minute, we had to find another hotel quickly and found accommodation at the Chequers Plaza. From the first telephone call to them you could sense that customer service was at the forefront.
Upon arrival, check in was very efficient and the very helpful manager gave lots of advice on transport to and from the hotel.
The whole place was decorated well and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff that we came in contact with. Our rooms on the third floor were very comfortable with a great view. On the Sunday night, entertainment was provided without charge and bar prices were very reasonable.
The evening meal and buffet breakfast was fresh with lots of choice on hand.

We only stayed one night but I am definitely going to be staying there again.
A big thank you to all the staff there for being so friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Even the rooms on the front are quiet so a good nights sleep can be had.
