What a brilliant night out. The entertainment was excellent. The host Leye D Johns is so funny, and the singers were fab. We all laughed, sang and danced all night long. Complete value for money and I have already recommended Viva to lots of friends. Must say thank you to Eddie who was very helpful and friendly. One of our party has walking difficulties and Eddie showed us to our table on arrival, called the lift for us on departure and met us downstairs to ensure our friend was OK as she left at the end of the night. Can't wait to go back again next year. Well done to everyone.

Good show, very funny. Would've recommended the show as the singers were fantastic and the comedy was great!

Be aware this isn't a family show. It was extremely rude and crude, funny for us but I cringed at the families that were there and obviously didn't expect that kind of a show! As this most certainly wasn't advertised as a show that essentially wasn't family friendly, especially as there is a lot of swearing (his way of getting round that was by saying swear words were villages in Cornwall).

Another key issue is the sound, the set up is absolutely deafening it's like being in a huge concert hall and it's only a room. Ridiculous! We had to leave half way through as the ear ache gave my friends headaches, even the clubs weren't as loud!

Food is appalling! It's frozen ready meals for a pound if that from Iceland! Very poor wouldn't recommend food it's a big add on, fish and chips would be much better.

Overall very entertaining but poor quality and not as advertised!

Hi There,

Thanks for your review.

To be absolutely 100% clear - we do not advertise the show as a family show. What we say is that we perform a production cabaret with an outrageous host and compere. It is aimed at primarily an adult audience but we stand by the fact that there is nothing rude or crude said during the performance of the show and is not purely an 'adult' show in that context.

When anyone is considering booking younger members of their family into the show we have a short message we give them so they can make an informed decision. This reads along the lines of 'Although VIVA is an adult show, some content is that of an adult nature - nothing too rude or worse than seen on television but we'd like you to consider this when booking younger people into come and see us'.

We do not want to exclude families from the venue if they are willing to allow their children to watch. I personally was brought up in exactly the same way having holiday'd in Spain and have seen similar shows at a young age - it was up to my parents to make that decision for me and as long as it was an informed decision, we see nothing wrong in that.

There is no nudity - no four letter word swearing. It's all innuendo and light hearted humour.

I hope you see our point and also see that it is not up to other customers to judge those who wish to enjoy a night out in a show environment with younger members of the family. It is an informed decision they have made and we do not advertise it as any other way

Kind Regards
Martin

The Star host and comedian was unable to perform so a replacement was bought in, Average at best. Male Singer performed quite well, but the female singer was Club standard at best. Food was not of a standard required for what we paid for it.
On a brighter note the bar prices are quite reasonable.

Hey NuttyNige,

What a crazy name! Love it!

Thanks for the feedback, we'll take it on board. To note, you paid £15 for a 3 course meal which we feel is of a great quality. Not quite sure what you pay in other restaurants but hope you can see we offer great value considering your show ticket was £14.90 and you upgraded to include a meal for just £15.

Great to see you enjoyed the bar!

Kind Regards
Martin
