Fantastic hotel . Lovely staff who are always happy to help .
Nice clean rooms ,immaculate even .

Ordered room service . Very nice food . Not overly expensive compared to some of the grubby takeaway places round here

Will be staying again

I've stayed at this hotel almost every year since it opened and it always lives up to expectations.

I was particularly impressed this year, as the main ride at the Pleasure Beach (Pepsi Max Big One) was closed the day we went due to high winds, but the hotel (Tara Valentine) got us back in free the next day for a free go right on the front without having to que.

This is the main reason we went on the trip to Blackpool, so it was really appreciated.

Good hotel but perhaps a Little expensive if you do not take advantage of the concessions for Pleasure Beach.Rooms were comfortable and had everything that was needed, including iron. Probably more suitable for families than couples its a nice place to stay. Breakfast was good. We had two problems. The Pleasure Park wi-fi continually failed so it was as if it didn't exist (perhaps worse because it was a source of continual frustration!!) .More serious there was NO HOT WATER in the bathroom neither at 10.30 at night nor in the morning!! (Room Nº 100, ground floor). Reception staff were amiable and NOTABLY HELPFUL at all times and did the best they could to solve the problems. They deserve full marks,

Stayed here for 3 nights 13th-16th August in a superior twin room (301). The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was very large but the toilet was crammed into a corner next to the sink...all that space and it was not used correctly! I requested a park view and a high floor, reception apologised for not being able to meet my request. I didn't mind not having the park view but next time I would insist on the fourth floor as noise from above was pretty bad.
Also this room was directly opposite the lifts which meant a lot of noise from other guests etc.
The best part of this stay was direct access to the pleasure beach and not having to queue for wristbands.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing, so much choice and availability of food was excellent.
I used the restaurant once during my stay and this was a disappointment. The food choice was too fancy for a family style hotel and very expensive. I chose from the set menu of 3 courses as it seemed like better value. The chefs special which was fish was not very nice at all. The whole dish was swimming in butter and I couldn't taste anything but butter...I left most of it.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the room was cleaned daily to a very good standard.
Overall this hotel would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for the little details.

I am booking again for next year and will know what to request for the room etc.

My wife is Indonesian and It was her first time up north, We did a tour of Liverpool, Edinburgh and one of my favourite places as a teenager; Blackpool. she was greeted with warm friendlyness and hospitality from everyone we met, the hotel blue being no exception. People are friendlier up north and it is very refreshing.

Having stayed in Blackpool a couple of times myself, sometimes in guesthouses other times in such places as the Grand or the Imperial; the blue hotel exceeded the offerings of the aforementioned and at a fair price. There aren't any high standard hotels yet in Blackpool, but this is the best you are going to get, and in my opinion it is more than adequate for a few nights for the pleasure beach, the tower and the town.

Directions on the website are good and it is very easy to get to from the station to the hotel. It's even easier to get to the pleasure beach, right on your doorstep.

Check-in was quick and easy, the rooms are specious and clean. There are no modcons and the bathroom and amenities are basic, but it covers you for a short stay. The breakfast however is very robust in its offerings and very hearty, she couldn't get enough of the bacon and hash browns.

Overall the staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are average for the rate, the breakfast is excellent and the location perfect for the pleasure beach. Highly recommended and the only place we would consider staying in Blackpool with the current offerings.

Went here for 3 nights 11th -14th August 2014 in a family room for 4, was really happy when I saw the room massive queen bed and a separate area with 5ft bunk bed in it for the kids and 2 tellies for the kids in the room also. Bathroom was very nice and in good order as was the bedroom area we were on the 4th floor room 411 and had a view out our back window onto the Big Dipper and the big one.
Breakfast was lovely had a great choice and there was not much we would not have eaten only tip I would say if in a rush in the morning go to breakfast early as it gets really busy between 9-10.30 am.
Bar prices are what you would expect to pay £4 a pint and for a wine.
There is vending machines for sweets and juice and a free ice making machine as we'll.
Room service is reasonably priced but cost £5 to use it.
Plenty of parking for your car as we'll we had no issues doing this at all.
Because it's is owned by Pleasure beach if you have pre booked tickets for the Pleasure Beach u can get ur bands printed off at reception and get priority entrance at the side of the hotel to the park which is handy as it is about third of a mile to the entrance,
I would recommend the hotel to anyone very nice and in great order nice setting and staff were all very nice and pleasant.

Room Tip: Get to breakfast early to avoid a long wait.
