Dear Goodwins
Many thanks for your kind comments – this is great for team morale and very much appreciated. You’ll be pleased to know that we have another 9 bedrooms lined up for a full refurbishment this winter – hopefully you’ll all have refurbished rooms on your next visit this will raise your TripAdvisor cumulative score from 3 to 5! Please don’t be afraid to ask for refurbished rooms at time of booking. Good to know that Nicky and Jack entertained you well on Sunday evening – I believe it was a very lively night.
All the very best for the Festive Season.
Warm Regards
Nigel

Stayed at the elgin hotel never again what a rip off this hotel is run so unprofessional, from checking in to leaving it was one headache the food was rubbish it was like being on a conveyor belt.yes it was clean but very expensive for the quality and service you got.
Yes It has a car park but if you intend going out of the hotel make sure your not going in your car or if so give your self an extra hour to wait for the staff to move there cars so you can get out. They block you in.
I have stayed at much better hotels in Blackpool than this for a lot less money and good friendly service and food cooked properly.

I’m not sure whether this is a bogus report as we have no recollection of anything relating to this person’s comments. We monitor customer feedback closely and take genuine complaints very seriously.

We booked a 2 for 1 deal arriving on a Sunday which was very good value. Been to the hotel on many occasions and Nigel the owner is keeping up with the refurbishment. The evening meal was not as good as usual, I suspect because it was a 2 for 1. Only an either or choice and the started was a strange one but having said that it was fine. Evening entertainment was geared to the older end and was really good. Breakfast again was fine. All in all a nice night away.

Dear Heli
Many thanks for the feedback. Really pleased you enjoyed your stay but sorry to read your comments about your meal. I imagine your starter was pork pie and chutney – it generally is well received even if a little unusual. The meal should be of the same quality and choice as any other night of the week – I would be happy to discuss this with you if you’d like to give me a ring. We’re keen to keep our consistency and I can assure you that we are not trying to cut corners on our 2 or 1 deals. Really pleased that you enjoyed your evening and the hearty breakfast.
Warm Regards and Best Wishes for the Festive Season

My wife and I have just got back after a great time at a @ 'Laughter & Titter' weekend at the Elgin, which was great and excellent value. We've stayed there about a dozen times in all and
are always made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent with good choice: the staff (several of whom have been there for 5 years or more) are very obliging, friendly and hard-workingly efficient: the hotel is very clean and, although we are not normally concerned, the entertainment is first class too. Altogether well worth giving it a try, as many other regulars like ourselves have found out over the years. Situated about half a mile from the Tower it is handy for central shopping with both bus and tram stops within 100 yards of the entrance. We
are not particularly keen on Blackpool per se, but St. Annes and Lytham St. Annes are more,
shall we say, 'upmarket', and lady guests will probably love the shopping at Cleveleys, Fleetwood Market and Freeport discount outlet. Do go and see for yourselves !!!

Room Tip: Standard rooms are perfectly ok but for small supplements you can upgrade for a sea view for instanc...

I have been to the Elgin multiple times in the last 5 years. All I have to say is ignore that they came 4th on 4 in a bed because this place is lovely the rooms are well kept and are well furnished and entertainment is well fitting to its target market. I would happily stay there again and lets just say im much much younger than 60 :) my mum and auntie both also enjoyed their stay.

I have stayed at The Elgin Hotel three times over the past few years, even staying there for my 40th birthday with a group of friends and we found it faultless. The food and the service was second to none and I think that being on Channel 4's ' Four in a bed' has done The Elgin a disservice. I normally love watching 'Four in a bed' but I couldn't believe my eyes when The Elgin came fourth. I would definitely stay there again and I hope the programme doesn't put off any future visitors. It is one of the best hotels in Blackpool in my opinion and I hope it goes from strength to strength.

Dear Liz
Many thanks for your kind comments. We’ve had a great response to ‘4 in a Bed’ – as you will have seen on the program we’ve taken it all in good spirit. We’re hoping for a re-match!
