Just returned from this lovely hotel, stayed 4 nights very impressed the food was very good and staff very friendly.( especially Tom in the dining room who really is a credit to the Hotel ) The hotel is very clean overall a lovely place to stay and at the front of the hotel there are chairs and tables which was lovely as we were able to sit and look at the amazing views out to sea and watch the sun go down at night. Our little dog was also welcome, we will definately be returning. Thankyou to the Elgin team for making our stay most enjoyable.

Just returned from the Elgin and couldn't wait to leave a review! The staff were great and the manager was very hospitable - announcing what the entertainment was for the evening, which was really good - and mingling with the guests at mealtimes to make sure everything was alright, and greeting the guests arriving on coach. The food was excellent and our room was clean and tidy, as were the public areas. Everyone there from guests, many of whom had been before, and staff were very friendly.

Dear Mr and Mrs Ramsay and family,
Many thanks for your kind comments regarding your stay here at the hotel. Really pleased that you enjoyed the food, service and hospitality. Good to know that the children enjoyed the Family Fun weekend – I believe that the children’s entertainer ‘Crafty Kev’ went down particularly well.
Apologies again for the extraordinarily long journey down here. Please be assured that we will not including as many pickups on future occasions. I believe the journey home was far shorter.
I do hope we can be of future service.
Kind Regards,
Nigel

Dear Ronald,
Many thanks for your feedback. I’m sorry that your room was not as large as you’d like. Being a 1930s building, some of our rooms are on the smaller side and indeed the windows are not particularly large in certain parts of the hotel. However, as you say we do give guests the option of a larger superior room if so desired, I can highly recommend our Club Executive rooms at the front of the hotel - there's even a TV in the bathroom! We’re really pleased that you enjoyed your meals and our hospitality. We did experiment with a buffet breakfast a couple of years ago but found it very difficult as we have no obvious area in which to set out the buffet table without reducing dining space.
I do hope that we can welcome you back to the hotel and provide you with a larger room that fully meets your requirements.
Kind Regards
Nigel

Dear Lynette
We’re really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you appreciated our service and cleanliness. We very much pride ourselves in having a good Team here at the Elgin.
We have considered going to a higher star rating but there are one or two inconvenient conditions attached in doing so. The main stumbling block being that we would have to offer a 24 hour room service. This is something that we don’t get any demand for and would add unnecessary expense.
I do hope that we can welcome you back to the hotel in the not too distant future.
Warm Regards and Best Wishes
Nigel
