First visit here as a family with 3 young children and will definitely be looking forward to another visit for drinks and food. First impressions were very good, large seating areas with a fabulous central cocktail bar. There's also an outside seating area if you fancy sitting outside and soaking up the sun which we had on the day.
Ordered drinks at the bar to start with but was taken aback when the price came to £8.40 for a single Archers with lemonade and a small bottle of Becks! Maybe it's just a long time since I went up Blackpool town!!!
Food menu was good, plenty of choice. The waitress serving us made us all feel very welcome and took our order for a pasta linguine dish and a chicken satay on flat bread. She told us the kids would eat free from the kids menu seeing as we were both having a main course, excellent! Note here we had 1 baby with us so they weren't eating. I think the free kids meal would only apply for each main.
Atmosphere was great! There was a DJ playing and I wouldn't say the place was packed but there was a good mix of families, groups, stags and couples enjoying themselves. The waitress came to our table 3 or 4 times to ask if everything was OK and to take drinks orders which was good because that meant we could stay at the table with the kids.
Both dishes were delicious, really fresh and tasted lovely! Each cost around £8 plus the kids meals were not your usual cheap crap. Pizza was handmade, sausages of good quality and overall we were very impressed with what really is 'pub grub'. Portion size is just right, not too much and not to little.
Total bill for 2 mains, 2 kids meals, 1 coffee, 1 lemonade and 2 fruit shoots came to £23. Not bad at all! If the alcoholic drinks were cheaper maybe we would have bought more.
Being from Blackpool and having eaten out in A LOT of places we were pleased to stumble across Revolution which is located central and right on the front. Adding this one to our favorite places!
Would have given 5 stars but due to the expensive drinks Revolution gets 4 stars. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks to our waitress and all the staff for making us all feel welcome and looked after, nice to see this in Blackpool.
