Went to the comrades club a few weeks ago to meet a couple of friends who live in Blackpool. We arranged to meet in the comrades club on the saturday night. Unfortunately this was not an entertaining sight, very quiet, poor artist/singer and the bar staff were ignorant and messing around with what looked like regular patrons of the club, bingo dabbers on faces and hands and ice cubes being thrown down peoples backs were a couple of items used. The concert room is dingey and needed drastic modernisation. Managed to have a game of snooker ....20p for the light that lasts about 8 minutes so it felt. Drinks prices are not competitive with what we saw in town,a pub round the corner called frenchmans do a pint for £1.99.....this club charges £2.40. Maybe the high price for a comrades club keeps people out of this place,we will not be going back there as you can get better atmosphere and cheaper drinks in the town centre. Poor!
