Went with family, taken straight to our table. Waiter wanted to know what we wanted to drink before we had time take our coats off or had chance to look at wines etc. seemed a little impatient at times, food was lovely, generous portions, 2 of party had lamb shanks, massive! Nice touch was that it was for a birthday meal and they brought out a brownie cake with a candle in and played happy birthday. Our table was next to the stage and the background music was quite loud so had to shout to people at other end of table. Impatient waiter wasn't attentive, had to attract attention for drinks etc, maybe it was because it was a busy-ish Saturday night.that said, probably won't stop us going again

We had booked a table for 2 for valentines day some months back when it was announced that Joe Longthorne would be singing there. The singer we beleived cancelled on the venue with just hours to spare which was extremely disappointing, however the staff from Sam Marco called to apologise and explain the situation which was out of there control. We chose to still go and had both wonderful food and great entertainment in the form of 2 female singers which had been called in at the last minute. The staf were great, the owner Lucia, is personality plus, Natalie behind the bar is as beautiful as she was helpful and Paul the Maitre'd could not have been more charming. The food was well presented, tasty and exceptional value, the bill including a couple of decent bottles of red came in at less than £100. We will return regardless of which 'act' is or in this case is not performing.

Visited San Marco on Valentines with my partner quite by suprise, We had a lovely evening which started when we were met by the lovely smiley bar staff who got us our first drink and showed us to our table whilst we looked at the menus. There were two menus on offer a very reasonable 25.pp menu and the usual we had the meal off the ala carte menu were creatures of habbit. The Starters were prompt and tasted wonderful Mushrooms and Pate (homemade) My partner then had the Stroganoff which is consistently good and I had the Fillet of Beef which again so many places find it difficult to do. We had 2 bottles of red wine which is very reasonably priced and you have to have a pudding so we had the "Valentines Suprise" which again was a home made pastry filled with cream and fruit. This restaurant is one of very few in Blackpool serving freshly made produce. The staff were friendly and super efficient and to top it all they had two fantastic female vocalists. If you have and occasion to celebrate dont wait for the next Valentines Day give San Marcos a try they really do know how to make your night as a delight.

Me, my husband and friends have gone here for years. But the last few times we have been standards have been bad!! We went for my friends birthday and after being told our table would be about 10 mins we ordered drinks at the bar. Whilst in mid order the waiter came up and shuffled us, that Is the only way I can describe it to the table. We were told our drinks would follow.. Still waiting. When seated a waitress came and took.the wine glasses from the table. Without asking if any of our party was having wine. We then ordered our meals after 15 mins of trying to get a waiter. 3 starters came 3 starters didn't until 7/8 mins later. Same with mains. We paid up and left. No apologies. We thought we would try again after a few months. But no just as bad. Starters at all different times. I asked for white wine and got rose. The stuffed mushrooms were ordered as a main, but came as a starter. So will we be going back?? No and it is a shame. Me and my husband had some great nights. Especially when they had their place on Highfield road.
