What happened to the old madam tussauds? There is no chamber of horrors any more only stars, famous people?

As we have never been to a Madame Tussaud's we thought we would give it a try, helped by 2 for 1 vouchers, well worth the visit with some exceptionally lifelike models, great photo opportunities as was not overly busy (we went in just after opening)

Last visited here on the early 80's, and it really has changed. It was a very enjoyable visit, but I remember there being so much more last time I was here. What happened to the blood and gore, that was the dungeon of horror. That said, I did enjoy it, and would visit again.

The typical Madame Tussauds - very nice experience to do with family and friends. It's fun and guaranteed to kill a couple of hours.

My wife and I spent several hours wandering around and being fascinated by the exhibits. There is truly something to please everyone whatever their age.

We really enjoyed our trip here, so much to see and I liked how the waxworks are organised by theme- marvel etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the lady working the lift. A good place to visit if you’re in Blackpool.

Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a good way to spend an hour or two.

Sat on the Promenade, the Blackpool Madam Tussauds is a short walk from the Blackpool Tower.

Inside, you find the standard MT layout - rooms with different themes, full of waxwork figures. Each waxwork has room for you to get up close and take a photo, and some are even interactive (Take Me Out, Jeremy Kyle, etc).

There is a new section - Marvel Superheroes, in which the entire layout has been adapted and changed. You can play games, get/beat the high score, lift up cars and more, all for free.

Lots of photo opportunities, and the Gift Shop holds a wide range of merchandise - both branded and licensed.

A good way to spend a couple of hours, perfect for a rainy day.

As with other Merlin Entertainments attractions, make sure to check out the local / regional press for discount vouchers as they often exist and can cut your price by up to HALF!

Myself and my family planned a family day in Blackpool and none of us had been here before. The waxworks are fantastic and so life like. The waxworks had something for everyone. We spent about 2 hours going round the attraction and was a great 2 hours. The kids loved having pictures with all the wax works, The staff at the stations to have pictures were really good and up beat getting everyone excited to be there. All in all a great few hours and money well spent.
