The circus is very well put together. Something for adults and children alike. The artists are very professional.

“blackpool tower circus excellent”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Buy tickets online it is cheaper .
I am surprised the Circus doesnt have its own separate review site .Many people will visit either the circus or the tower but not both.
Essentially the acts are acrobatic in nature but they are varied and top class quality and athleticism is onview . Between acts you have the clown and the cowboy to amuse you , again good quality comedy and not crude . The Cowboy also provides a shooting display with a very attractive assistant.
You need to get there on time to get a good seat as it fills up very quickly. It attracts all age groups , birthdays being celebrated by members of the audience ranged from 73 to 46 to 21 to 13 to 4/5 year olds. It is brilliant family entertainment. Show lasts for about 2 hours

“Spectacular Views”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

On my recent trip to Blackpool, I took a trip up the Tower. On the way up, you pass various 'boards' with photos and information about the Tower and its construction. I'm assuming these are what I refer to as 'comfort' signs there to keep your mind occupied if there are long queues. Although this was not the case on my visit.

You also get your photo taken at two points on the trip up, and your photos can be purchased in the Gift Shop which is where you find yourself when you exit the lift on the decent from the Tower, but at £8,00 per photo, I thought that was a little expensive so I never purchased mine.

Before you enter the lift to ascend to the top of the Tower, you enter the 4D Cinema Room. I've heard of 3D, and could not begin to imagine what the 4th dimension would be, but it was truly amazing. I'll not give away too much to spoil it for potential new visitors, but the 4th dimension effects added a great deal to the 'reality' of what you were watching on the screen.

After placing your 3D glasses back in the box, you enter the lift to be taken up the Tower. The lift has windows so you can observe your ascent and the views from inside the lift are a small taster of what is to come. There is a Guide who reassures you that the glass floor is totally safe to walk on, and it is the glass floor and floor to ceiling glass wall that greets you as you exit the lift.

The glass floor & wall was a totally amazing and somewhat mind distorting experience as your brain is telling you that you would be totally insane to walk on glass even at ground level, but at that height........!! But your mind is telling you.....'go on, walk on it, you know you want to'. You simply cannot visit the Tower without walking on the glass floor.

There are windows all around with stunning views of Blackpool and beyond, but only if it is a clear day. You can climb up to two more levels where you are then 'outside' but protected by wire messing. There was a third level up which was fenced off on my visit, although I do not think this third level is ever open to the General Public.

You are free to spend as much time up the top as you want to, before you make the descent back down.
When you have come back down, there is very well stocked 'Tower Souvenir Gift Shop' where you can buy your photos and all manner of 'Tower' themed souvenirs, even an 'Olympics' style medal with the slogan: 'I Conquered the Blackpool Tower'. You are given a small voucher booklet when you pay to go in, and there is a voucher giving you 5% off of the price of this medal, so hold onto the booklet until you actually leave the Tower Complex.

The Tower is a 'must visit' attraction when you are in Blackpool.
