Stayed at the sunset on 2nd November 2013. We booked a family room for me, my husband and my daughter and a twin room for my son and mother in law. The rooms were spacious enough and they had en suites which for us was a must. The rooms were a little dated but nice. I booked parking with the sunset and assumed it would be a carpark but it was their double garage which they managed to fit 4 cars in, i had to climb to the passenger side to get out and then my car was blocked in by 2 other cars. I had brought my children to drive through the illuminations but didn't want to inconvenience the other guests making them move their cars. The lady owner seems really nice and the breakfasts she cooked for all the guests singlehandedly was lovely. Her husband seemed ok but I didn't really appreciated his comments about female drivers as he was shocked I was able to manoeuvre my car in and out of the garage. Overall I do feel its value for money but I won't be visiting blackpool again with my children.

Having previously had a bad Blackpool experience we were slightly nervous about our stay here but we really didn't need to be. The host was lovely and friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was great. It was a short walk to the central pier so a great location. We paid for parking in advance which put our minds at ease too.All in all we were very happy.

Room Tip: Our rooms were top floor which was lots of stairs maybe ask for lower rooms if you are unable to do...

Stayed here for one night , We had a family room and it was very spacious and clean with nice comfy beds. the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the tower so is ideal. Ruth and Tim were excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend this hotel and would return there the next time we visit blackpool.

Very clean room nice decor but very small. Very stuffy and roasting hot as on top floor and it was height of summer. Opening the window meant a noisy night. No problem as we were only there 1 night. Secure parking on the property at the back charged extra but worth it as parking is at a premium in the area - ask about this when you call. Handy for the Tower and things in that area but a hike if you want the pleasure beach which is the other end of the Golden Mile but there are regular trams / buses / horse n carriages and a good long walk never hurt anybody :)
Ruth is really friendly and helpful and served up a cracking full English breakfast. She always seemed to be smiling - lovely lady. Everything a seaside landlady should be .Extra milk and tea etc given on request. We look forward to staying there again
