This is ok if you want a cheap bed for the night as cheap is what you will get. Stayed here with family 2 years ago and vowed never to go back but found out one of my sons was there so went to surprise him. I thought it may have improved how wrong I was. It's still in a poor state curtains off poles dirty bathrooms threadbare carpets and wallpaper hanging off walls. The place has a really fusty smell throughout. We didn't have any kids with us but there were plenty there and no entertainment for them meaning they got bored and ran riot through the bars. They I'd some face painting for them just before the bingo at 9 entertainment didn't start till 10:15 pm and and finished by 11pm and was the same rubbish from 2 years ago. The hotel is way too far from the main beach and attractions meaning a fortune in trams. The bedroom was small and tacky and you had to crawl from the end of the bed to get in. The bathroom was tiny you had to squeeze to the side to shut the door. These are my personal views and everyone is different but do yourself a favour and read other reviews before you decide

Room Tip: Just don't risk it !

Stay away this is a shabby hotel. Luckily I have property close by but went in to see a friend who was staying there. There was kids running wild while there parents got drunk. The hotel reception and bar looks shabby enough i'd hate to see the rooms. They must be bad to have all the bad reviews. My advice book in else where far better hotels / B&B for same price.

I`ve passed this hotel so many times and always planned to stay 1 day. WHAT A LET DOWN !! All the public rooms are tired and quite frankly extremely scruffy. Wall paper falling off, carpets which are threadbare, light fittings with more bulbs not working than ones that are...Very sad because it is so obvious that with a bit of TLC and some money spent it would be gorgeous. Our room was basic,at best. Food was simply dreadful and service too. Never again, unless this hotel gets the modernisation it needs, and fires all its dreadful rude staff.

Room Tip: I dont think there are any. All guests very upset.

How this place gets guests I have no idea ? How it gets the odd decent review beats me... The windows are dangerous with broken catches, how a child hasnt fell out of the windows is a miracle. The building looks lovely on Brochures but once you enter the front door and smell the foist of the outdated Carpets you want to turn round and walk out. If your brave enough to make your way to the bedroom then WELL DONE, your nightmare begins !! Everything stinks, dont walk about with no slippers on otherwise the soles of your feet will be black as the ace of spades. This Hotel was rated as one of the best back in the day but now it is a Shambles, it should be closed down if even just for Health and Safety. Do yourself a favour if visiting Blackpool, GO ELSEWHERE,dont ruin your holiday by booking here, you will regret it, there are other decent hotels in Blackpool for the same price which are wonderful. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

£35 for 4 of us for B&B we got exactly what we paid for.

The hotel is very tired looking, although there did seem to be workmen wandering around so some remedial work was being carried out.

The room we were in was basic but clean.

The phone in the room kept ringing throughout the night waking my 9 month old but the noise wasn't as disturbing as other guests children running riot throughout the corridors until the early hours.

My 7 year old loved the nightly entertainment (not the best but he was happy), drinks were reasonable.

We only stayed here as we could not book into the Premier Inn for a further night.

OK but probably wouldn't revisit.

From the front elevation the hotel would fit in nicely on international drive in Orlando from the rear it is like the local council tip with old mattresses piled against walls, walls falling down around the car park and a severe lack of paint.
The main attraction at this hotel has to be the massive convention room at the rear which could easily cope with upwards of 1500 delegates.
The swimming pool looked fairly inviting through the outer doors and there is adequate rooms for the kids to run riot around the reception and bar areas.
The hotel suffers like most of the Brittania hotels from any kind of TLC, the multi coloured pattern carpets (where there is still evidence of pile) do not match with any of the other decor, again a trait unique to Brittania hotels, think they decorate in their sun glasses?
Our room carried the grand title of executive double, really Brittania should use rough , rougher and roughest as a quality scale.
Our 1980's TV was balanced precariously on table designed to hold a large Teddy Bear, that must have had varnish on it at one time, the four grainy channels reminded me of the film Poltergeist and was barely visible due to its lack of height when in bed.

This hotel could be so much in the right hand, perhaps an Arab sheik who has money to burn on a giant fixer upper ?
If it's a hen do or stag you have the perfect digs for a weekend and you can invite the cold stream guards there are enough rooms to cope.
Come on Brittania raise the bar!
And if you do book beware you are a fair tram ride from kids me quick town.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!

We've stayed here five times, but in my personal opinion I wouldn't stay again. The hotel itself is old, poorly maintain, and worn furniture. We stayed three times due to its really cheap price as we was passing and the other two for new year as they have a big new year celebration. The staff are rude and ignorant and the cleaners should be fired. This hotel is like a nursing home as it is full of old people and it stinks of urine. The lobby is like a derelict house and the furniture is ripped and reeks of swet. We payed £20.00 a night including breakfast which was all processed food .we couldn't wait to get out. The hotel is in desperate need for renovation but it's a shame as it has good facilities eg spa, gym, pool, arcade, cinema, nightclub, cafe etc. the only way to improve this hotel is to knock it down and even though we stayed five times it was five times to many and the only reason we stayed is because we had to. The hotel is at the very end of Blackpool and it's an inconvenience as tins like three mile away from the tower
