What can you expect when paying £12.50 per person per night for bed & breakfast - not very much I would say - but we were pleasantly surprised. Our initial impressions were good, despite reviews on here, with a very friendly receptionist and a lovely entrance/lobby area and yes the upper corridors were a little dated but the rooms were VERY spacious if a little dated as well. A large bathroom with bath and shower was more than acceptable and the two other spaces (one occupied with a single bed and wardrobe the other with a double bed and television) were pleasant enough if extremely warm. No problems with the quality of the bed or bedding were found. The breakfast was basic but adequate with our only real complaint being the lengthy wait at the poorly stocked hotel bar. Staffed by the night porter we found it increasingly hard and harder to get a drink as the night wore on and were often mischarged as the said nightporter was definitely overworked.......
Would we go again for £12.50 including breakfast and parking - of course we would. This is Blackpool after all not Cannes.
