We have stayed at this hotel 3 times this year and enjoyed it immensley. From the moment you meet the owners, a lovely couple, you are treated with service I would expect from much more costly hotels, nothing is too much trouble. We have stayed in 3 different rooms and found them excellent for our requirements. The bar has many curios that you feel the need to know about and all is explained.
The freshly cooked full english breakfast is really something else, you know that so much work has gone into preparation and it shows.
The tram and bus stops to the centre are just 2 minutes walk or you can walk to the North Pier in around 25 minutes along the promenade and look out to the sea.
All the latest information brochures are available there.
We love going there as the welcome is so friendly and you are made a fresh pot of tea or coffee. We will return again soon and no doubt enjoy a wonderful stay.

Every year my family and I take a small trip to Blackpool looking for a calm and relaxing break. But always choosing to stay around the central pier with all the nightclubs surrounding us its unevitable that we would be paying for sleepless nights!

This year we decided to stay at the HIGHFIELD HOTEL which was a little further on from the pier. Pulling up to the hotel we were greeted by the owners a cute little couple who didnt waste no time making us feel welcome by offering us cold and hot beverages. Our rooms were very spacious and neatly presented complete with toiletry set. Breakfast in the morning included many options such as fresh fruit, cereal or a big breakfast. Opting for a big breakfast I have to say that their choice of sausage couldnt get any better!

The bar in the hotel was warm and cosy and perfect for enjoying a quiet drink. The owner was more than happy to make various cocktails for us to try and share...and we were more than happy to accept!!! With all inhibitions dropped the kareoke came out!!!

Overall the trip to Blackpool was a sucess and the pleasant stay at the HIGHFIELD HOTEL was the cherry on the top! Excellent service provided by such caring owners......it was everything we wanted plus more!

I went with a group of 9 friends for a short blackpool getaway and our stay at this hotel could not have been more perfect. The hotel is owned by a very sweet married couple and the service was so friendly! The food was just like home made cooking, and our rooms were great - very comfortable, and we had connecting rooms which meant we could all stay together and not feel separated out. Ideal for a family or families travelling together.

The hotel is just off the main road where the beachfront is located - so its nice and quiet, but the moment you walk out the hotel you have a great view of the sea. Less than a minute from the local tram which can be taken to all the good places to go - Central Pier, Pleasure Beach, Town Centre, Sea Life centre, etc.

The best thing i liked was how comfortable the stay was. The owners are helpful and friendly, very attentative to our needs as guests, and staying there was like being in a home away from home. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at the Highfield Hotel on the North Shore at Blackpool Lancashire England.

The evening meals were amazing 3 course and all homemade soups and desserts beautifully presented.

You were treated as a guest in someone's home, nothing was too much trouble, The beds were firm but not hard, the bathroom en-suite was very clean which was an important consideration for my wife.
It is a small friendly hotel the one point is that all the bedrooms are upstairs and there is no lift, so if you are in a wheelchair or find stairs a problem then this is not the hotel for you, however if you enjoy the taste of food from the Phillipines along with traditional English then this is the place to stay while you are in Blackpool.

The hotel is on Empress Drive just beside the Cliffs hotel handy for either the bus or Blackpool trams.

  • Liked — The meals served in the evenings were a treat to the tastebuds
  • Disliked — Stairs
