“a really wonderful stay in a clean and relaxed environment”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

A wonderful stay with this lovely couple in a quiet area of Blackpool. This B&B is friendly and welcoming and the hosts..John & Dean are so lovely and very hospitable. And although it can sound a little clichéd, you really DO feel like you are at home here.
Great attention to detail here..with tea and coffee in room, a bottle of spring water and biscuits.Small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap and cotton wool etc is also placed in the room in case you need it.
There is also free wifi there.

Really clean room with lovely comfortable bed..we did sleep well :) A very quiet spot!

The breakfasts here are not to be missed...believe us..they are first class and there is plenty of extra tea, coffee or toast if you want it too.

We love Waves so much and it will always be a regular place to stay for us when we get the chance to be there.

This B&B is also very close to the North Shore Promenade and local buses and trams...so very easy to get about and into Blackpool centre, but far away enough to get some peace and quiet too.

You will find it hard to find a more hospitable B&B or Hotel in Blackpool!! Highly recommend..see you again guys ! :)

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 1 - a double room with large windows with a lovely view to the sea

The two owners are great. Make you feel very welcome. Clean, breakfast Is beautiful. I would strongly recomend people going to Blackpool to stay here.

As their saying at the waves , arrive as strangers, leave as friends.

This is third time we have stayed at waves hotel. The owners John and Dean were friendly and helpful and made me and my 5 year old daughter very welcome. The accommodation was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast outstanding! I will definitely go back and recommend to a friend! :-D

The owners are friendly and helpful, the accommodation is clean and well presented and the breakfast is outstanding. The owners have though of all the little things that can maximise your comfort and enjoyment of the stay and all at a price which at least matches or beats less well presented accommodation. If I ever return to Blackpool I would head straight for this hotel.

Close enough to the attractions to be just a short tram ride away and far enough away to avoid the noise crowds and hassle.

After reading all these fabulous reviews I wondered quite what to expect and grew anxious by how excited I had become. I hate being disappointed.
We've travelled all over the UK and Europe and never come across somewhere as welcoming as The Waves.
From the second you arrive you are made to feel welcome. John sat us in the lounge and asked are plans for our stay giving us lots of new ideas as well as vouchers and tips for the paces we already intended on visiting. We were offered fresh milk for our room and asked if there was anything else we wished for.
We stayed in room 5 on the top floor. The room was clean, welcoming and had everything we could need. We were delighted to find Galaxy hot chocolate in our tea tray and thus got topped up daily, much to our delight.
Breakfast was really relaxed and friendly. We shared our plans for the day and the kids played and chatted to John.
Deans breakfasts were really good and used quality products. The kids and my partner opted for their own creations of breakfast sandwiches which were happily made for them.
In the evenings we used the lounge downstairs. We were told we could bring in our own takeaway which was a lovely gesture. The lounge has entertainment to suit everyone. There is a large tv on the wall with a wii and play station attached and a large number of games to play. There's also snakes and ladders and a large connect four as well as a large selection of books and even a tuck shop..
I honestly can't recommend them enough it was the perfect place to stay and hosting that we have never experienced before. They obviously love what they do and do it to an amazingly high standard.
I would happily stay here again and would encourage others to visit and enhance their experience to Blackpool.
Thank you for such a lovely stay and if ever we are that way again we will always be back.

Excellent food. Excellent acomodation. The best hosts in Blackpool. Nothing is too much trouble for Dean and John. The notice in reception says it all " arrive as strangers leave as friends" very true. Get booking folks.

A very inviting, clean, extraordinary B&B I would take instead of any fancy hotel. Two nice guys (and a great dog) basically welcome you into their home, provide with you with tips and information to make your stay memorable, cook a fantastic breakfast to order, play the Wii if you are so inclined, and assist you in whatever else you would like to do.

As the other reviewers already mentioned, you receive tips on how to get around easily, where to find parties (or not), what to do, and help you to have a good time, whatever that may be.

It was a short stay for us but hopefully one day we will be back for more. Go Blackpool!
