This has to be the worst hotel in Blackpool. This hotel should be advertised as a hostel as they crowd as many beds into the box rooms as they can with some rooms having tiny shower rooms and others using communal facilities.

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a very rude manager, informed that although advertised as parking facilities all 3 spaces were full. We found a car park near by at £13.50 for the night then went to check in.

The hotel is in desperate need of modernising and has a strange smell. The room we stayed in had wall paper peeling badly, with dirty, sticky carpets, paper thin walls and the door is secured by a flimsy Yale lock that did not feel safe. We stayed with a large group of others and all rooms were of the same less than basic standard. We decided to go out for a drink and thought well 'it's a bed for the night'. Our room squeezed in 5 girls with 3 single beds and a bunk bed. The mattresses were terrible and need replacing. Our friends had a double sized bed room with 5 bed squeezed into theirs too.

The hotel is in reasonable location but so are many more hotels.

On returning to the hotel at 3am after a great night out the hotel was in full swing as the bar was open and music on. We went up to our rooms for the night thinking the bar would close shortly. At 7am which we thought was a more than reasonable time to ask and after no sleep we complained about the music and rowdy guests thinking they would say it was finishing shortly. Instead we were rudely told it was a party hotel. The party then finished at 8.40am. We all like a good night out but this was ridiculous.

The hotel provides breakfast for an additional £5 but the rooms were so poor and dirty there was no way we would eat in this hotel.

There a far better basic b&b in Blackpool which Ive stayed with the girls on hen weekends and have never had to write a poor review. This hotel was by far the dirtiest and worst I have come across.

I would not visit this hotel again.

Well what can I say!!!!!! The people who wrote the previous reviews must of stayed at another hotel!!!!!!!
Initally there was no where to park, despite being advertised as having parking, there is three spaces at the front of the hotel!!! I Quickly got over this after paying 13.50 24 car park!!!!!
While getting ready In the evening other guests knocked on our door offering us class A substances, we kindly declined.
We arrived back to the hotel after a brill night out to be kept awake all night by music and a rowdy group of people (the same ones who offered us drugs), I called down to the reception at 7am as I felt this was a reasonable time to ask them to turn the music down, to be told this is a party hotel (despite thier website not advertising this)!!!!! The man in the hotel was very rude, telling me he had been up all night, he had been up drinking with the other guests and appeared very proud of this, he turned the music Down a tiny bit reluctantly!!!!
We paid 36 pound each through Blackpool rocks.......... Thier was 5 people in our room, there wasn't enough room to swing a cat never mind getting ready. The room was of a very low standard with scratches in the wall, iron burns on the floor, beds crammed in the room and the bin had not been emptied from the previous guests!!!!!!!
I have stayed In many b and b's over the years this is by far the absolute worse, avoid at all costs!!!!!......

Just returned from a top weekend in blackpool made all the better by the staff at the shiray. This is your typical b&b in blackpool but with the bonus of great food and probably a better bar than most in town. Hotel is in a good location beds are comfy and clean and breakfasts spot on and all at a reasonable price.
