A great weekend was made even better by the Clifton Private Hotel. After staying in various other accommodation over the years this is by far the best place we have stayed for the punk festival. The room was very clean and the food and bar were great, not to forget the very welcoming owners. I highly reccomend this place to stay for any occassion but only if there's still room for me!
The location of the hotel was perfect for sightseeing.
The proprietor was the perfect host, the food was first class and everything was very clean.
The bedrooms were basic, but clean and provided everything we needed.
Overall,excellent value for money.
I first stayed here 5 years ago and have been back every year since, ive gone in group of 10 down to just 4 and ages from 17 to 60 and all have enjoyed it and returned.the hosts are brilliant and nothing is to much trouble we go for punk festival and they even put music on all weekend, nick even gets a ticket and joins us when hes got time.If you want first claas accomodation and hosts then you wont be dissapointed, very close to tower and shopping, brill place ,brill people dont miss out
Just got back from a long weekend at the Clifton Private and cannot fault it.
Nick and Tracy are warm and welcoming hosts, friendly, helpful and great fun.
My room was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could need, en-suite, TV, tea and coffee etc.
The location is perfect, close enough to the beach and nightlife without having thousands of people walking past the hotel.
The hotel has a cosy bar, it was good to sit and chat with the other guests, and the breakfast has got to be the best in Blackpool!
Excellent all round.
Visited Nick and Tracy s hotel for the 5th time for the occasion of the Rebellion Punk Festival last weekend. Originally in 2006 a friend chose the hotel for its location in relevance to the Winter Gardens which is where the festival is held and the hotel is a five to ten minute walk away depending on alcohol intake. On arrival parking is arranged and check in prompt with both new and old customers alike given a warm welcome. A sign on the bar acts as a mission statement for the hotel, it reads "There are no strangers here just friends who have never met" the combined bar and lounge are very comfortable with a large television, excellent music and occasional comic karaoke. I shared a twin room which was clean with an en suite shower suite. The beds were big and very comfortable. Breakfast was served adjacent to the bar and was promptly served hot and plentiful, extra tea, coffee and toast arrive quickly if requested. The attitude of Nick Tracy and their daughters to the customers needs is first class and the numerous thank you cards on display is testimony to this. Collages of photos of previous visits decorate the lounge creating talking points and bringing back memories to all returning guests. I have wrote this review after hearing of new guests previous horror stories encountered at other hotels in Blackpool and realising how fortunate we have been for the last 5 years visits to have stopped at such a lovely place with lovely hosts and met so many friends who have all given the hotel and hosts the respect they richly deserve.
