Just arrived back from taking my 2 granddaughters , the room was lovely, very clean and the beds were comfortable. As soon as we arrived you felt comfortable, Nick and tracey were the perfect hosts and helped in any way they could. From helping me with cases etc. Plenty choice at breakfast and cooked breakfast was beautifully cooked , and nothing was too much trouble if children changed their minds. It was 5mins walk from the coach station , and 5 to 10 min to the tower and shops, was really happy and the girls really enjoyed it , and asked if they could go their again so that tells you something at age 11 and 8. They loved the choice of food on offer , from cooked breakfast, cereal , yogurts, melon , bananas, fruit juices etc , it was worth every penny . I would advise to phone direct for a booking with nick as I found this much better. As he explains what room he will be giving you with what beds. Its lovely to come back from a holiday and have no complaints and will be going back there again. So Thankyou Nick and Tracey and your staff for making it a pleasant and welcoming stay for us. Hope to see you again soon , From a Happy Grandma.

Room Tip: Book direct with owners.

I hadn't been to Blackpool in over 20 years, so with no idea where to stay and no recommendations from anyone I know, I picked the Clifton Private Hotel based solely on the reviews on here - which proves that they really do work.

I stayed for two nights with my two teenage daughters. We had a family room which was very clean and nicely decorated with two very comfy double beds, tv, well-stocked tea & coffee making facilities, plenty of hanging space for clothes, bedside storage cabinets and lots of towels - what more could you need?

We were offered parking at the hotel, but as we had arrived earlier in the day than when we checked in, I had already parked in the pay and display carpark which is a minute away on the same road, and very reasonably priced - £9 for 72 hours.

The full cooked breakfast was superb (fab sausages) with endless toast and tea or coffee. There were also plenty of other options available, including fruit juice, cereals, yogurts, pastries and fresh fruit.

I had "just the one" more than a few times in the bar on our return in the evenings - as it's such a pleasant part of the hotel and gives a chance to meet other guests and chat with them. There are some retro gaming tables in the bar area which were a fun blast from the past - I hope my top score is still there when we come back!

The hotel is ideally situated for the Tower and its many attractions, Central Pier, Shopping Centre, Winter Gardens and the famous trams and other transport to take you from one end of the front to the other.

The owners and staff at the Clifton Private Hotel were very friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble, and we can't wait to come back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - see you again soon. Cara, Charlotte and Megan Ottolini :)

Booked a family room for the kids and a double for us, brilliant that I was allocated rooms next to each other, nothing too much trouble for the kids at breakfast who don't like the traditional cooked breakfast. Payed extra for 2 nights parking and was able to unload/load the car directly outside the hotel and then nick 'valet' parked the car for us.

Would stay again excellent value

Lovely hotel, Nick and Tracy really make sure you have a great stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the food is good and plentiful. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Tower, shops, winter garden and transport, so it's a great location if you don't want the noise of the seafront. I will stay here again when i come to Blackpool next year.

Stayed with a group of friends and our kids at the start of the summer holidays. The owners were great and couldn't be more helpfull. The rooms were clean and bed were comfortable, breakfast was fine. There was a well stocked bar and there were no problems with our kids staying in the bar. Good value for money

we found this hotel just by luck with reading the excellent reviews and I must agree with all the reviews, we went there with our 27 month old daughter and had a fantastic time we arrived early and checked into our room which was really clean and the beds were so comfortable after having a busy day we returned to the hotel and had a chat with nick and tracey who were really great people and they made a fuss of our little girl which makes you feel more welcome. following morning we had the breakfast which was so nice and lots of choice with a full English and also fruit and cereals and fruit juices, the 2 ladies who served the breakfasts were lovely aswell asking if everything was ok and talking lots to Emily. After walking about 10 miles we went back to the hotel to watch the end of the darts which tracey kindly put on for us while Emily had a little run about and play. With us not leaving till late on the evening I asked if we could leave our luggage and nick said no problem and he put it safe for us as we had our last day out on returning to hotel we had a chat with nick and tracey then they ordered us a taxi to train station was just a shame to leave we had such a nice time and will definatley be returning there soon
