“Nothing left to see”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

What a shame. This pier has seen better days and nothing left to entertain families who visit this landmark. Gone are the days when you could jump on the mini train and ride along the length of the pier. All that is left is the amusement arcade at the front of the pier but not a lot after that. Shame :-(

“Could do with updating”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

Compared to Central Pier, there doesn't seem as much to do here. There's the amusement arcade, couple of cafes, a couple of shops. It's ok to pass an hour on with the younger kids, i.e. amusements then a drink, but could do with a revamp to offer a few more things like Central Pier. Maybe a couple of rides etc.

“Needs a lot of attention.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

Fabulous old pier, been very many times, always great to come back, but now in need of some major attention. Falling well under the standard of the other two piers, broken and loose decking, rotting decking everywhere to be seen. Come on CROWN LEISURE, hands in pockets time.

“Most bracing!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

I took a stroll by myself along Blackpool's North Pier one September afternoon whilst my wife had
a 'shopping fix' in the Houndshill Shopping Centre. Although the weather was dry and sunny it was rather blustery which certainly blew the cobwebs away!

There is a theatre at the far end of the pier,as well as Blackpool's usual mix of amusements
together with an extremely nice bar and cafeteria with lovely sea views which is also situated at the end of the pier where I was served with a delicious mug of coffee at a most reasonable price.

There are some souvenir stalls at the landward end of the North Pier together with a shop selling DVD's and books about Blackpool Trams.
I gained the impression that the pier had seem better days in its time, but it was pleasant nevertheless to walk along part of Blackpool's heritage and enjoy the sea air - not a long pier perhaps, but worth a visit.
