We could not fault Steve and Colleen the couple that run this small hotel as they made you feel very wellcome, and the breakfast was spot on. We had a very good weekend and i would advise anyone that for your money it is great value. The bed was changed even though we only stayed 3 nights and the rooms were spotless. We will go there again as we also enjoyed the bar when we came back which was not pricey.

Room Tip: choose a room at the top so nobody is above you

My partner and I have just returned from a four night break at this hotel and I have to say that we could not have been more impressed by our experience of the Waverley Hotel. The hosts Steve and Colleen give you a warm and friendly welcome and Steve carries your bags to your room for you. The rooms are all spotlessly clean as is the rest of the hotel. Our room and en suite were both cleaned and re-stocked with tea, coffee and milk on a daily basis.
My partner is gluten intolerant and although we did not inform them of this prior to our arrival, it was clear that they had a good understanding of what foods she could and could not eat and they went and purchased gluten free bread for her even though we did not ask them to. As well as catering for her, they also had guests who required a lactose free and a dairy free diet at the same time, all of which they took in their stride. The breakfasts are excellent and our hosts were always on hand to advise on attractions and shows that were on in the town without crowding you or intruding in any way. They have a small but well stocked bar which is open to guests and they also have off road parking. This hotel gives you all the comforts of home and all the freedom you could want.

In conclusion, this hotel is truly a hidden gem.

I stayed at the Waverley in May 2011 with my mother in law and two teenage neices. On arrival we were greeted by Colleen and Steve who were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family room and even though we had 2 teenagers with us so in effect 4 adults the room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the facillites very good.
The location of this B&B is very good, near to the pleasure beach, waterpark, south pier and the tram stops into town although you can walk it, it isnt that far.
The breakfast is wonderful, the best I have had in a B&B and Colleen and Steve were very accomadating to my fussy 13 year old neice! And they let them play on the WII on the first evening when we didnt go out very far.
All in all the Waverley was great and if I ever return to Blackpool I would most definatly stay again. There are a lot of B&B's in Blackpool however I would say to anyone looking for a place to stay then head to the Waverley. I had a lovely weekend in Blackpool made extra brilliant by this B&B.

My friend and myself have just returned from the Waverley,We have been going to this guest house for over twenty years.Colleen and Steve are a fantastic host/hostess.We always get a great welcome and Steve always carries our bags to our room,This must leave him shattered for the rest of the day as we are known for our huge amount of luggage. The rooms are lovely and warm, very clean, and fresh towels are in the room. Also free tea, coffee, milk, the breakfast is good ,choice of cereals ,fruit juice and a full english with plenty of toast and tea and coffee. There is a bar and Steve and Colleen usually come and have a chat which is a nice touch.the prices are very good and nothing is too much trouble.I willl be back in two weeks with my hubby. This guest house is near the pleasure beach, swimming pool, casino and trams. Thanks for a lovely stay see you soon.Lesley and Jane
