“A superb and impressive stay!”
Reviewed July 31, 2011

Our stay at the Sandpiper was a superb and impressive one. The service was absolutely A1 right from the enquiry through to our stay. They didn't have exact the avaliability for our stay but instead of leaving it at that they were so helpful in offering us an alternative arrangement, something i've never experienced before. They accomodated us in thier excellent sister hotel (The Colwyn) for a night and then we moved across into the apartment. The apartment itself was spotless. A nice sized kitchen, with all the amenities provided, such as a microwave oven, frigde freezer, oven/hob, pots, pans, utensils, everything down to the kitchen sink! The chairs were all very comfortable and the tv was a good size, bigger than in most places we've stayed before. The beds were so comfortable we a superb nights sleep. The location was on the seafront and was literally a stones throw from Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the train station. Bus stops were right outside and when the trams are back up and running down to Starr Gate there is a tram stop directly opposite aswell. They were also very kind in accomdating our luggage both on arrival and on departure. All in all a fantastic stay and i certainly hope to come back here again in the future.

The spacious apartment was great, having the ensuite and fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable, clean and tidy. Good facilities, everything in apartment that you needed (like PlayStation with a choice of free games, freeview TV etc.), privacy, and security. It was like being at home! A quiet and excellent location with lovely sea views, right next to the Pleasure Beach or Sandcastle Waterpark, and 30 min. walk to Blackpool Tower. Very friendly and welcoming staff. It was nice gesture from owners, when we checked out, we were allowed to leave out our luggage and pick it up later , before we left Blackpool. My family enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend Sandpiper H.A. to friends. , excellent value for money!

Stayed in apartment 7 for 4 nights at the beginning of July 2011 with my Mum and my 2 children. Apartment was big, clean and comfortable. Kids loved the pull out double wall bed in the living room and the bedroom has a bunk bed, single bed, and plenty of storage space. Kitchen was well equipped and apartment had an electric coin meter which we didn't even need to top up as the owners like to keep it topped up for guests. Only downside was it was on the second floor and the stairs were quite steep for my youngest child. Also bathroom had a tempremental shower (no bath) which wasn't ideal for the kids. Good location for pleasure beach, sandcastle water park but quite a walk from the piers and tower. This didn't bother us as we enjoyed the walk and there are plenty of buses and trams to take you there. Overall, great apartment, good location (2 minute walk from train station) and would book this apartment again.

Room Tip: For families book a room on ground or 1st floor because of the stairs and get a room with a bath. Ot...

Stayed at the apartments with friends for a cheap fun filled weekend. Cannot complain about the accomodation, very clean and comfortable. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced would definitely recommend to others and stay again.

Stayed for 4 nights, last weekend of the illuminations, the apartments were truely splendid, my boyfriend and myself are quite a young couple, and found the aparments very modern and very clean, couldn't quite believe just how close the apartment was to the pleasure beach, so close when we got soooo wet from one of the rides we could go home change and go back, Free Wi-Fi too, always a bonus when plannin trips, after travelling 6 hours to get to Blackpool we did arrive at dinner time, and the Manager had loads of time for us, even though he was really busy, and stopped to chat to us for ages when we checked out. Dont understand the negative comments about him, super guy. Would highly recommend these appartments to anyone, espically familys, the fact you get a PS2 and dvd player in you rooms makes for cost effective evening inn. (especially when its blowing a hooley outsite, typical november weather)
Havent got a bad thing to say. Great Location, Great Apartment, Friendly Staff.

Clean, fresh, cosy room, great location right by Pleasure Beach, well stocked kitchen for cooking for a family , lots of dvd's and ps2 games and books to choose from [all free], no problem checking in at 9pm after driving from Glasgow, no fuss checking out. Didn't meet the owner/manager, but the staff in the Colwyn hotel were friendly and efficient. No problems with fellow guests making noise or being anti social, which was a nice change...perhaps we were just lucky! Good price. Will use again next year if price is the same.

I stayed with my two, grown grandaughters and one's partner i.e.four of us. We had two bedrooms and loads of room, with a comfortable lounge and a reasonable television. The place was clean and all crockery etc was supplied down to tea towel and dusters, rubber gloves and oven gloves. Its a great location on the front and near the pleaseure beach. On our first night we went out and drove basically from the apartment through the length of the illuminations. Just a happy and pleasant weekend.
