This is the third time of staying and it was, as it has always been, a very enjoyable stay. There is no need to go out to find a restaurant when Pat & Steve have a wonderful chef who makes everything himself. Delicious bread rolls to his very own melt in the mouth shortbread. Breakfasts that can last until dinner. Pat & Steve are superb host & hostess. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when visiting Blackpool,

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable.

I have just returned from my second stay at The Alumhurst. I was recommended this hotel when I decided to come to Blackpool at very short notice last year for the Dance Festival. I wanted somewhere to stay that was close to the Winter Gardens. It was easy to enquire online through the hotel website and I received a prompt reply. Pat gave me clear directions for finding the hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised to find a warm welcome and a comfortable stay at reasonable cost. The room (12) was adequate, with soft fresh towels and bedding, tea-making facilities and overlooking the street with a view of the Tower. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Pat and Steve are very helpful. A real home from home and I look forward to my next visit.

we stayed overnight to attend a show at the nearby winter gardens. our telephone booking was easily taken and questions answered thoroughly, relating to our stay.

we received a friendly warm welcome upon arrival and were shown to our room.
the room was clean, large, comfy and had a welcome tray with a selection of drinks provided. the ensuite shower had fresh clean towels provided. our room was clean and tidy with a comfy bed.

breakfast was ample and freshly cooked. all cutlery /crockery and surroundings were clean and comfortable.
would stay here again definitely if returning to Blackpool.

We stayed in one of the 70s themed rooms. The place is a good walking location from the main sights. Car parking - you need to ask for this- was free which was great. Bathroom was unfortunately a little dirty inside the shower cubicle and On the shower tap and the curtains let in a lot of light. Blackout lining would be a good addition. Breakfast was good.

Hi all, just stayed at this place for three days to soak in the last of the Blackpool illuminations.
Pat, the proprietress is amazing, her local knowledge of great places to eat is second to none.
Room 22 was sufficient for my wife and daughter plus myself. The beds were very comfortable and warm. The breakfast girls and chef were very attentive, and always cheerful.
The portions were sizable to account for all tastes from vegetarian to a full English, ( but no black pudding)
All in all a very pleasant stay, and the staff made it so.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights. We booked a premier room (room 31), although the furnishings etc. were very nice it was small. However this didn't really matter for just 2 nights.
We were on the top floor, luckily there is a small lift if you can't manage the stairs.
The breakfast room is very nice and there's a great choice of food. I opted for a Full English which consisted of 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 1 egg, tomato, beans, fried bread and mushrooms. We were also given a basket of toast.
The small lounge area is also nice and there's a computer available although we didn't use it.
The bar in the cellar area is a real gem!! VERY big ! Almost like being in an proper pub! Theres a pool table, dart board, tvs & jukebox. We found this very handy as the weather was appalling! after going out for a meal we stayed there for the rest of the evening and Steve stays open very late if you want him too ;-)
Location wise its great, a short walk to the seafront, but far enough away that you don't get too much noise. If you can, request a parking space, there's only about 5 but they're invaluable!!
