We stayed at the Moorfield as we wanted a hotel away from the centre of Blackpool, but not too far off. The tram stop at the end of the street takes you into the centre in ten minutes - perfect!
As for the hotel, it has been taken over quite recently but the new staff were very obliging and helpful. The food was excellent. A really nice cooked breakfast and choice of evening meals. I had steak pie, which was as good as any I've ever had.
The rooms are a little dated, but for the price we had no complaints. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was nice and clean.
I'd say this place was a little hidden gem, but it seems to be a popular hotel so maybe not so hidden! Anyway, we'll certainly be back next time we're over in Blackpool.More
