My wife and I paid our first visit to Toast, Blackpool, not really knowing what to expect. We needn't have worried we had a very nice meal served by the attentive and delightful Kayleigh. If you are hungry go for the roast of the day, we had beef, it is a plateful that will satisfy any appetite. For afters we opted for a light sweet, fruit jelly with icecream. The house wine was drinkable and overall our visit was a pleasant experience.
Tip...If you like your restaurants nice and quiet then visit late afternoon during the week. Just one other couple in the premises when we arrived at 4pm.
Will definetly return to Toast Cafe Bar.

Having visited Toast and West Coast Rock Café in the same week, toast is a let down. The food was nothing more than average, and way over priced, my dining partner had Chicken and Ribs in both restaurants Toast think half a chicken and 2 ribs is worth £14.95. I wont visit again, I can only say the experience was poor.

We live in Blackpool and have used Toast quite often for our lunch and it has never disappointed - until now! We decided to go out for Sunday lunch and Toast was our first choice. We both opted for the 3 course menu for £14.45. The tomato soup was well presented but tasted as though the chef had accidentally poured sugar in instead of salt. It was unbelievably sweet. The main course of roast beef then arrived. The beef was dry and chewy and the carrots were completely tasteless. The only real positives were the Yorkshire pudding and the gravy. The waitress came and asked us how our food was so I told her of our complaints. She just looked shocked and said she would tell the chef. About 5 minutes later the chef came out and just stared at us and then disappeared again. The uneaten food was eventually taken away, we had our desserts and finished our wine and then the bill arrived. Now don't get me wrong, I never expected a discount or anything free; all I wanted was an acknowledgement that there was an issue with our food and an apology but nobody came over and said a word to us. I find that extremely poor customer service.
As the owners of a very busy town centre b&b we have always recommended Toast to our guests. You can be assured that this will never happen again and we will find somewhere else to spend £45.00 on a Sunday lunch in future.

Dear mychellee
Firstly, may I thank you for your regular custom and please accept our sincere apologies for the level of service that you received on this occasion. As a fellow business person in Blackpool you will understand that during this time of year we have to take on extra staff to meet the demands of the Summer season. We train all our staff to the highest level and trust that they will use the training to best serve our customers to our usual standard at all times. That said staff are human and make mistakes or have bad days and I on behalf of all at Toast apologise profusely for this person letting us down.
As a Taste Lancashire HIGHEST award winning restaurant we source all our food locally from quality sources. Our beef is slow cooked in a steam oven to keep it moist and is usually of the highest quality however, on occasions as meat is a natural product it can vary in quality. We do our utmost to ensure that the best is used and taste test as much as possible but some parts of the joint may well not be to standard. On such occasions it is not company policy to discount but to replace the meal with fresh beef or an alternative, this is why we do the check backs. I can only apologise that on this occasion the waitress did not ask the manager to speak to you and follow our procedure.
I hope that you can accept our apologies on this occasion and as you have visited previously you will know that this is not our usual standard. We have spoken to our supplier and are in the process of sourcing a new one if such happens again. If you are able to advise us whom the waitress was we will re train her to ensure that our service levels are met which include Welcome to Blackpool/Excellence courses.
Once again thank you for your custom and we do hope to see you again, if you would like to provide us with further details please get in touch on here or via our website.. Many thanks.

Have been three times and have never been disappointed, Food in our case has been marvellous and as pensioners we got the offers which were exceptional we certainly have not had as good value anywhere. Staff in St Annes branch very welcoming and attentive and as on two occasions we have been late afternoon they have had plenty of time to make a fuss of us. We will certainly be revisiting in the not too distant future in the early evening.Do not do nightclubs anymore but the place looks fabulous for a night out just wish we could take advantage of it.
