Possibly the most digusting thing I've been served in a long time. Whole muffins (have you lost your bread knife?) and everything drowned in a thick yellow 'custard' personally I prefer a drizzle of such a fatty benedict sauce rather than a heart attack portion which formed a think skin as I stared at it in disgust. Some friends recommended this place so perhpas I just choose badly. The coffee was pretty poor too. The waitress was very nice and said she'sdtell the chef but no discount or anything offered. Its a shame that this seems to be the best Blackpool has to offer :(

We first visited Toast around 6.00pm at the beginning of the week and found it was fairly quiet. We had an excellent meal from a very good menu choice, and our waiter, Ferdi, was superb. It was partially the experience of the restuarant and partially Ferdi that made us go back on the Thursday evening. This time it was extremely busy and we had to wait for a seat. However, we didn't wait long, and did have to wait a big longer for food but we were kept informed and well served with drinks and conversation by Ferdi again until our meal arrived. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our food and the whole experience. It is definitely a place that you'd want to visit more than once.

To start with, although we went into the restaurant and booked 2 weeks beforehand for a pre-theatre meal, we were told on arrival that we had no reservation.
They found us a table and took our order at 17.55. We had tickets for the theatre for a 19.30 performance, so we're getting concerned when our meals had not arrived by 18.30. We spoke to the waitress who said our food would be 5 minutes. In fact, we were not served our meals until 18.55, a full hour after our order was taken.
My meal of tarragon chicken was not as described on the menu - it was not chicken breast wrapped in parma ham, but 2 small pieces of chicken with a piece of parma ham laid on the top. The promised rosemary roast potatoes were replaced with plain boiled potatoes. Very ordinary and uninspiring. Due to the delay, we did not have time for a dessert or coffee.
We asked to speak to the manager, but were told he was too busy. The meal was part of a birthday treat for my Dad, aged 79. It ended up being an embarrassment and a huge disappointment, not least because the staff, apart from one female waitress, really didn't seem to care.
Needless to say, we won't be returning to, or recommending Toast. There are many far better places to eat in Blackpool, where the management care when things go wrong and try their best to let their customers know that they care
