just got home from this fabulous wee guest house in blackpool and what a star in another wise drab looking blackpool, although the powers that be are trying to clean up blackpool but have one hell of a job. However at this lovely guest house myself and my husband had a fantastic and very comfortable two night stay, we for the life of us cant find a single thing to moan about from the very contempary furnishings to the friendliness of the owners, Sue and Colin are just lovely and could not do enough for us, a very comfortable and spotlessly clean room and great full english good value for money, aswell as being right in the centre of town. what a find we will always try to get this hotel when we come to blackpool. 10/10

As pleased as can be at receiving such a glowing review and thank you both.
Proof that our efforts are really worth while which gives us that push to improve your break or holiday experience.
We agree that Blackpool is a long way from being a tidy town and for this reason needs to pull it's preverbial socks up in order to attract more of the right kind of visitor.
It is clear from the works that have reached completion that Blackpool is evolving and hopefully improvements will continue to be made however, we find ourselves harnessed by the financial constraints of our recession.
Keeping positive and remaining resolute and most importantly having guests such as yourselves keeps the preverbial wheel rotating.
If we had one request or wish it would be to have guests such as yourselves coming to Blackpool,( a rare comodity in our resort these days ) our resort would improve immensely
Again we thank you both and hope to see you again soon.

Kind regards,
Colin and Sue.

My husband and I spent 2 nights with Sue and Colin recently when we went to the Winter Gardens for a dance competition.
I'd recommend the Laurels for 3 main reasons. First and foremost, if like us you are in Blackpool mostly for an event at the Winter Gardens, this B&B's location is perfect - smack in the town centre, just a 5 minute walk down the road.
Its second asset is its wonderfully warm hosts - Sue and Colin were always happy to chat and ask after our needs, and even waved and saw us off at their door as we left in our cab. We joked that they are just like our grandparents!
Finally the room we stayed in was spotless and recently fitted, the mattress was new and we had a lovely sleep. I've had some not so pleasant experiences with Blackpool B&Bs and it was great to find a decent, clean place in the town centre. I have to mention however that our room (Rm 1 perhaps?) was tiny and a little cramped, and the window looks out to a parking lot. These did not matter so much to us as we weren't there exactly for a luxury relaxing break, and did not return to our room until after dinner. It was really good for our purposes and we have already recommended it to a friend attending the Dance Festival in May.

Thank you very much for your feedback which we fully appreciate.
Should you decide to book with us in the future you can contact us directly and not through the online booking agent as we would be in a better position to offer you a more spacious double en-suite with a pleasing view which may be more suitable to your needs.
We are happy however that you found our location suitable and that overall you enjoyed your stay here.
When we can and at every opportunity we do improve the standards of our rooms so that as a guest you can share in the comforts also as we have done with our beds
It is hoped that you will consider booking with us again in the future.

Kind Regards,
Colin and Sue.

Just returned from 2 nights at The laurels. This is our 12th time here and we would not go anywhere else. Colin and Sue treat us like family. We have stayed in most of the rooms and they are all of the same excellent standard. The breakfast is second to none. We will be going back later in the year.

Only spent 1 night at The Laurels but I will be back later this year for the lights. You can be sure I will stay there again. Fantastic welcome (although I arrived late) welcoming cup of tea.
Single en-suite room was on the small side but not cramped and everything worked. Breakfast was just right and I learned all about the history of the fishes and the problems with gulls/pigeons.

Colin & Sue were excellent hosts and I would recommend this whole-heartedly

My husband and I spent two amazing nights at The Laurels. We could not have wished for a better stay. We had the most wonderful time with the hosts, Sue and Colin who we've now adopted! They treated us like family and could not do enough to help us. Our room was great, with super comfortable beds,we were cooked a wonderful family cooked breakfast, had brilliant company with the hosts and other guests and enjoyed a super friendly atmosphere with lots of laughs. They even lent me their umbrella, looked up and printed out the train timetables for us and overall made us feel incredibly welcome. We felt so looked after! All the wonderful things that the other reviews say are true! This place is amazing and I wouldn't even bother thinking about staying anywhere else. Sue and Colin made such an impression on us we've invited them to come stay with us anytime! We would love to return the amazing hospitality they gave to us!

Hope your escape to sunnier climbs in Marrakesh have left you re- invigorated and raring to go.
No doubt you are both counting the days when you can get back to the golden beaches and your passion of body boarding in Australia.
Things here hav 'nt been the same since your departure, they are now back to normal ( we enjoyed your company and the troupe no end )
We have been looking at the walls in the dining area recently and had noticed a few cracks have appeared and have come to the conclusion that this was due to your laughter (you know who you are )
Finally, it has been our pleasure and privilege meeting you both and to say thank you for everything.

Kindest Regards,
Colin and Sue.

I booked this b&b for me and my partner for his 30th after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We stayed for 2 nights and wish it was more, Colin and Sue (and the fishes) are exellent hosts couldn't do enough for us,our room was very cosy and the little things like bottled water, tea and coffee and sweets, which get replenished everyday, were a great wee touch. Also our train wasn't until after 5pm on the way back and they were happy to keep our bags so we could go out and come back for them. Great location and breakast, offered us tea/coffee as soon as we walked through the door. We will be back! :D

I spent one night at the Laurels and it was lovely. It was in a good location and the place was spotless. The room was lovely and cozy and the radiator was on when we arrived. Breakfast in the morning was great and I was offered anything I wanted. Sue and Colin were super, super friendly. I will stay here again when I go back to Blacpool.
