It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we went to Blackpool to see Funny Girls so naturally wanted a hotel close by. Plenty in that area but how lucky were we to chose the Edward. The friendliness of Stuart from the moment we arrived was outstanding, the hotel so clean , comfy bed and spotless en suite. As for the food, Stuart's cooking got me, not a cooked breakfast person, to indulge, and how we enjoyed it. I'm sure we will be going back to Blackpool many times and I can say right now that the Edward is the place we'll be staying at. Top marks, Stuart

Room Tip: If the one we had is anything to go by, it doesn't matter because it was spot on

Stayed in room 4 on the 6th untill the 8th. This is a front room so noise is to be expected but with the windows shut it was fine. The room is well decorated to a high standard with a bathroom which is a adicuate size. A warm friendly welcome and Stuart is a very helpfull man who cant do enough for you during your stay food is available and reasonably priced. Cheap drinks. All in all we spent most of our time there and had a fab time celebrating our anniversary see you again guys.

We stopped here for a couple of nights at the end of June, mainly due to the good reviews it has got on tripadvisor. But we couldn't understand how it got such a good rating.
First of all the hotel is situated on a very busy road next to a pub and night club, so don't go here if u want peace and quiet or a good nights sleep. There were groups of drunken people shouting and singing outside till 4 or 5 in the morning and to top it all the walls are very thin and you can hear what's going on in the next room and above like they were in your own room.
The room we had was quite big with a very nice if small bathroom. But it was very warm in there and we had to leave the window open, hence the noise from outside.
We only had breakfast on the first morning and we wasn't that impressed with it.
Stuart the owner tried his best but seemed a little obsessed with the no alcohol in the bedroom rule which I have never come across before.

Many thanks for your revue: Im sorry that you did get noisy neighbors on your 1st nights stay i only wish you had alerted me at the time as i would have gone and tried to sort that out for you unfortunately that neighbor did have one of those very deep loud voices that carry, i feel sorry if he does not have deaf neighbors at home. Its unfortunate that your tournament was in Blackpool as Blackpool is well known for its night life and people coming and going in the streets till late on weekends.
As for your Breakfast i can only apologise again as i did before it was served to you as i told you our cooker decided to die on us that morning and i had to improvise im truly sorry it was not our usual standard i wish you had not had to leave for your tournament before breakfast on the second day as you said you had had a quiet night and a good sleep. as for the small bathroom this surprises me as ive seen many bathrooms and would not consider it small.
The alcohol policy is clearly stated on our own website but you did say you were taking it to the other licenced premises with you as you always do, we are a licenced premises and "well you wouldnt buy a pizza in asda and expect to go eat it in pizza hut" I hope you got through to the next round in your pool tournament and wish you luck!
