You get what you pay for, this hotel suprised more than met our needs, great location a minute from the strip, and the self serve breakfast was extremely good, I was so suprised, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs an overnighter in blackers, rooms are far from boutique but they serve their purpose for what you pay,

Me and my husband went in May and we were initially greeted with a kind man who got us a parking space outside. Literally a few minutes to the seafront and about 5 minutes walk to the tower this B&B is homely and the couple were very friendly and welcoming. We were shown our room which was spacious, nicely decorated, had more than you would expect for a b&b in the way of coffees/ complimentary shampoos etc. Lovely ensuite all to a high standard! Breakfast was delish!! Seated at our own table we were able to help ourselves to freshfruit, cereals and coffee whilst the owner took our hot breakfast order. I had bacon and egg on toast and my husband had a full english and we both enjoyed it thoroughly! The owners were friendly and really did make you feel welcome! We have four children and we have decided to bring them along next time as they said they have a large family room available. We definitely will be making another booking soon.

We stayed here again in October 2012 myself my husband our 10 and 7 year old girls and our friends and there 2 boys 3 and 10 months!
Home from home best describes the Norwood, Lorraine and Geoff can't do enough to make sure your stay is a pleasant one!
We had 2 birthdays whilst on our visit and between champagne breakfasts and tea and cake in the afternoon, Lorraine and Geoff excelled them selfs once again.

This is our third visit and I can guarantee our return in October again!

I cant say anything more than "what a great budget hotel" the rooms very basic but were very clean, and the welcome was second to none. Breakfast was very good. Towels in room very clean too. Have stayed in blackpool many times before and i would highly recommend this hotel. All round happy customer Thanks...x

We stayed for two nights and we were welcomed very warmly by Taz the manager, we had a chat and went to our room. The room was a family room double bed and bunk beds the room and bathroom were spotless and smelt fresh and clean. We all had clean towels and plenty of shampoo and shower gels and aslo plenty of te, coffee, milk etc (which was replenished daily). We were out most of the time we were there but we had the breakfasts which were lovely Taz was more than accomodating to our likes and dislikes even happy to make our daughter scrambled eggs. Taz and her husband were also very helpfull with the best attractions and bus times etc. I would defiantly recommend the hotel not only for its central location but for the friendlyness and cleanlyness of the hotel and value for money!

The Norwood is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Taz the manageress is lovely and we were given a very warm welcome.
I had been a little concerned about finding somewhere to park as The Norwood does not have its own car park but this was not a problem.
We parked opposite the hotel to unload the car (1 hour restricted parking bays Monday - Saturday) then drove around the corner to Crystal Road car park.It is privately owned and is slightly cheaper than the council owned ones nearby. The cost for our weekend stay was £11 - pay and display ( coins only).
Free parking is available on Crystal Road and Alexandra Road which run down to the promenade but I imagine these are taken up most of the time.
We stayed in room 3 which is the superior 2 bedroomed family ensuite.
This is so spacious with lots of storage space and lovely furnishings.
The bed linen and towels were crisp and white and the beds were very comfortable.
Great kettle, pristine white crockery and loads of coffee, tea and milk were available - 10/10 for this!!!!!!!!!!
The ensuite is a shower and toilet and although small was spotlessly clean.
There was a good selection of breakfast cereals and the delicious " Full English" was well cooked and beautifully presented.
Next door to The Norwood is a mobility hire shop - ideal for anyone struggling to get around Blackpool on foot.
The hotel is central for the Pleasure Beach/Tower. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel and trams on the promenade just a couple of minutes walk away.
There is a pub next to the mobility shop.
We were aware of noise coming from it but it did not disturb us too much - it may have done if we had the windows open.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought the Norwood was excellent value for money.
* Please take care when making a booking as there are several Norwood b&b/hotels in Blackpool, this is in Lytham Road.
