“Recommend to anyone”

There is a vast choice of accommodation in Blackpool but the Bona Vista is a winner. It is not in the very centre but treat that as a positive. It does have a wonderful location bang in the area of the best of the illuminations and has a comfortable sun lounge and bar to maximise the view. There is plenty of parking too. A big plus.

The rooms are not the largest but well decorated, well furnished and spotless. The same applies for the bed linen and towels. Plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits in the rooms too.
There can be no better value than the evening meal. Quality food, well cooked, hot and plentiful. Served in a smart dining room, with pristine table linen, cutlery and crockery. Service with a smile and hard to fault. Breakfast is the same. Plenty of choice and hot food cooked to order so expect a short wait for a quality product. As for the sausages... they'll do for me anytime.

You will have a different experience at the Bona Vista to that of a large hotel chain establishment with hundreds of rooms. I've stayed in both. The Bona Vista is a hidden gem and a place you can confidently recommend to your boss, your friends or even your grandparents. It has broad appeal to all. Professional, yet homely, warm and welcoming. I have no doubt that all the above would enjoy their stay, have a great time and recommend it to their family, friends and colleagues too.

If you have thought about staying in Blackpool only to be put off by the daunting prospect of being able to find somewhere nice to stay, delay no longer. Book in at the Bona Vista and like us, you will soon look forward to your return visit year after year.

Get yourselves booked up! Situated in a quiet area on the North Promenade, the Bona Vista is a lovely homely hotel. The owners, Geoff and Sandra are wonderful people and make you feel right at home from the minute you enter the building. The rooms are gorgeous, beautifully presented, and absolutely immaculate. The home cooking is marvellous, good choice of menu, and arrives at your table piping hot. The bright lights of Blackpool are only a ten minute tram ride away, should you want them. It is an absolute pleasure to whole heartedly recommend this lovely hotel to you all, we could NOT fault it.

I stayed at the Bona Vista Hotel/Guest House in August 08, it is located along the North Promenade in Blackpool, conveniently situated opposite tram and bus stops. The hotel/guest house is small and friendly, has 24 rooms, a small bar, sun lounge and TV lounge. I booked a single room and was given a twin with side sea view at a very reasonable rate of 25 pounds per night for B&B. My first impressions was that it was very clean, the carpets appeared to be new in all areas. Everywhere smelt fresh and clean, even the crisp white sheets on the beds. The ensuite bathroom had a shower, toilet and sink, again all very clean. I would just like to say that anybody who is very large would not fit through the shower door as it is a tight squeeze! I had a freshly cooked full English breakfast, with a selection of cereals, grapefruit, all piping hot, very nice, however, I would have prefered a sausage that is 'meaty' rather than a 'value' sausage, which seems to be the standard in a lot of hotels, especially Blackpool! I would recommend this 4* Guest House/Hotel. The owners and staff are very friendly, no rowdy guests allowed. There is a security door entry system with a numbered passcode. All in all a good value, and very clean hotel/guest house, which I have no hesitation in recommending for people who want traditional style accommodation.

  • Liked — It was very clean
  • Disliked — The sausage!
